At the end of the year ....after all of the stats are posted....after they hand the Big "H" trophy to Manziel and they hype him up...after we here from all of the other QB prospects out there, there is one stat that nobody else in the field has and that is the personality and character of Teddy Bridgewater. Bridgewater is a step ahead of the rest, and I would welcome his meekness, and humbleness to our franchise hands down. Teddy has the type of personality to help Jacksonville become the team we've always hoped for. When you weight his stats against anyone else there good, but when you add in the full package he is far, far ahead of the next guy. There are a few good QBs coming out this year and I wouldn't be totally opposed to one of them, but a Manziel pick would be just enough to send me over the edge. We don't need another big mouth [BLEEP] on our team further damaging our reputation. We need a leader who will bring us not only wins, but respect as well.

 I wanted to see how he managed the game and situations at the line of scrimmage. He was outstanding making calls, changing protections and orchestrating things at the line of scrimmage. Bridgewater does everything that you expect from an elite quarterback from a mental standpoint

<b>Former Elite 11 counselor:</b> The guy is a natural leader. He brought his high school team to Nike Headquarters for a 7-on-7 event a few years ago, and ran the show at the line of scrimmage. From changing routes to offering specific instructions to his receivers, Bridgewater was clearly in charge of the drill. He's not overly demonstrative or whatever, but he gets his point across and guys follow his lead.

Our old GM didn't draft based on personality and character.  He drafted guys he followed for a long time and fell hard for.

-Targeted a single player in the draft

-Traded up to get them

-Picked them

 

Seems very in character for him to me.  Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

Alex Smith is one of the highest rated QBs to ever come out of college.

 

No one anticipated that he would be obliterated day after day for 5 years on an awful 49ers team.

I don't get the question. I love Bridgewater. My dislike for Manziel has nothing to do with the SEC.

 

He has awful mechanics, and frequently makes awful pass decisions that require Evans to bail him out. He also often runs when he shouldn't but gets away with it because it's college.

I'm not saying Caldwell will draft Manziel but how in the world do you know whats the chances of him drafting Manziel?

 

Now Gene Smith would never pick Manziel because we had years and quotes on how he likes to draft, but you have no clue if Caldwell would draft Johnny at some point in the draft.
