That defense did not look inspired out there today. The defense against the eagles did. How about we revisit this after a few weeks and see if the defense plays any better.


At that time all things will be the same except the qb then we will know what the reason is.


I can tell you Hurns sure looked inspired trucking through two tacklers and running for 60 yards to a td

Lol you mean when it was 30-0? Good indicator of effort.

 

Indy didn't let off the throttle nice try. Bortles came out after the half got a first down and Robinson broke a tackle for a nice gain then the defense came and made a stop. Indy kept it full throttle up until about 6 mins left in the 4th quarter, heck they went for it 4th and short on the goal line and the defense made the stop!

find a 300lb rock. Get down to a 3 point stance, and push against that rock who is magically resisting you, and do it as hard and as fast as you can. Do that with just a few seconds of rest each time, but for about oh 4 minutes straight. Then go sit down for 2 minutes. Then go back out there and repeat for another 5 more times. 

 

Or better yet do the same time limit but backpeddaling, shifting, running full speed, and going all over the place. 

 

Even the most physically fit people have limitations. 

 

No matter how great the defense, if they don't get the rest, they will get gassed.

Yep, I get that.  But, they have been smoked from the get-go the last 2 games.  So, my point is there is no good reason to defend the defense at all.  Until they prove otherwise, they pretty much stink.

Nah, the stoned the friggin eagles in the first game until they ran outta gas. They will play better as the offense does. Team game.

I would love to agree but at this point you have to assume the 1st half against the Eagles was a fluke.  Let's see what the future holds but they have 10 quarters of sucking and 2 quarters of being awesome.
