Season opener vs San Diego

#21

Let's be real people. We thought we could maybe have some fire against Indy after a blowout at Washington, but we were proved wrong today. One week isn't enough time to have such a drastic change to defeat San Diego. The team that beat the super bowl champs. The team that exploited Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas III, Kam Chancellor, and held the offense that just beat Denver in overtime. If they can do that against Seattle and the players they have, I don't see how they won't do it against us. Although it will be more competitive with Bortles at QB. I say we'll be in the game till the 4th quarter. Then it probably slip away and we'll be down 14.

The Chargers beat the Seahawks, and are an AFC favorite. We're going to the cursed coast. We're walking into a trap.

I bet a Henne jersey is a lot cheaper, could be because of all the grass stains on the back of the jersey.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:So after our 7 game pre season we are ready to roll in the season opener vs San Diego with Bortles.

How about some positivity...we genuinely have something to look forward to next week. Now we can watch a young team grow. I think we play the Chargers very close.

Who thinks we can win?

Amen. No more playing Henndecapped.

No pain, no gain.

Quote:How are they the hottest team? They are 2-1 and a few other teams has gone 3-0. We're bound to win one we weren't supposed to win and this is it. I think all things will click and we pull it out.

Alright, hottest team in the AFC. I forgot they lost to the Cardinals, who are on fire right now as well. But they beat the Seahawks, and not only that but they beat them in convincing fashion. They followed that up by beating the 49ers, who were supposed to be the 2nd best team in the NFC. They're on a roll and I don't see us making the long trek to the west coast and pulling an upset. The way the Chargers are playing, I wouldn't be surprised if they beat the Broncos at least once and win the AFC west..

We may win, everyone can beat everyone and it's almost impossible to 0-16 and 16-0. Im just anxious to see how our run game changes. Hoping that Denard gets more time and we won't be facing an 8 man box anymore. Im predicting 31-21 Chargers. Bortles 20-42 280ish yard with 2 tds 1 pick. Denard with 75 rushing yards maybe a td

Quote:How does that help if the other team is scoring in the 40s?

Less 3 and outs = less chances to score for the other team.

It's not that complicated.

Allen Robinson certainly went from invisible to involved in the game after Bortles came in

They narrowly gave up the season opener against a very good Cardinals team, then dominated the Seahawks and another good Buffalo team. I would say Arizona is the hottest team but San Diego aint far off.

I got the feeling AR is Blake's favorite target after he caught several passes.

Traveling to the west coast... I see a bad game for us.

Jags: 20

Chargers: 42

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
