BCC breakdown on one of the many reasons our defense is struggling (Poz)

Quote:that was like years ago.. he didn't just get 43$ in his mailbox the other day.  calm down.  it's not your money and we aren't going to be hurting for cap at any time during his contract.

OMG I forgot about all of our cap space, we're rolling in the dough. We need help at FS right? Dave should sign Ed Reed to a 3 year $27M ($18M guaranteed) contract, like right now. He isn't effective on the field but brings toughness, leadership (he has gray in his hair), and a will to win, we can really used more guys like that.

Quote:Haha yea I know, Knarnn has a crush on the guy, the guy is an average linebacker at best, way overrated amongst Jaguar fans.

He's an slightly average linebacker on a below average team. He's good in run support average in coverage. What do you suggest? Cut him and start JT Thomas? The thing is I know how important he is and what his absence means when he's not on the field. Look no further than week 1 during Sproles 50 yard run.

Quote:The safeties have given up two TDs to tight ends this year already.  It's not all on the LBs.

So your point is we have bad linebackers and safeties, that's obviously the case.

No no, that never happened.  It's been erased from history cause it DIDN'T HAPPEN.

No one suggested cutting him this season, the point is the player doesn't match the contract, you and Badger are trying to argue otherwise.

But lets get the baseball bats out and beat Poz to death with them.

If the Jags would play JDR cover 2, bend but don't break, keep the receivers in front of you,  TD's wont come so easy and fast, they'll just take longer and consume more time.  The score wont be so high.

No we aren't.  He's overpaid.  So what?  You can't even admit that his contract is irrelevant when IT IS considering how much cap we have and his contract is almost up anyway.

Haha no one is doing that, again, he's one of many issues on the Jaguars defense. I've already said this, if you took your Poz pajamas off you'd realize that.

 Your prior post:

The only way a defense is historically bad at covering the TE as the Jaguars is if you have incompetent LB's in coverage, at Mike , Will, and Sam. It's collective effort that attributes to our coverage issues.

Suggested that you might be unaware of the other factors at play.   So I informed you.  I guess you just used a poor choice in wording. You're welcome.

I'd be interested to see how much of the incompetence is on the linebackers as opposed to the safeties, I'm assuming most of it. Every QB's we face consistently dinks and dunks to TE's (the slow death) all the way downfield, those shallow to intermediate routes are rarely the responsibility of a safety, especially in our defense.

Funny you jumped in the conversation. You still stomping your feet mad that a linebacker cant run step for step with a borderline HoF WR?

You are ASSUMING.

how is a bomb to Jeremy Maclin wide open down field dink and dunk?  Please explain how Luck's passing average on Sunday indicates dink and dunk.

Pretty much. Another hot take by Alfie.

I didn't know we were only talking about 2014, because Poz has been a liability in coverage since he signed with the Jags back in 2011.

I think it's pretty safe to say all of our linebackers have proven to be liabilities at various times so far this year.  Poz doesn't hold an exclusive.  They have to get better because, as Alfie points out in his article, help  isn't on the way.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
