im just not crazy about reporters.  they got their microphones and cameras shoved in people's faces.  just doesn't appeal to me.  to each their own.

It isn't a waste of time though. Reporters and media have to write columns, blogs, and have pieces for T.V. 

The whole 10 minutes wasted made a bunch of peoples work day.

let's say you're a fry cook. But everyone thinks fries are a waste of time.... so they don't order any. Now McD's has no use for you. So you get fired... or demoted to toilet cleaner...

Life is about balancing responsibilities so you can make the most of the time you are given. If without the 10 minutes or hour he could have been studying film he didn't improve to become elite then he was never going to be elite in the first place.
