Waiver Wire

#1

I picked up Hurns, Michael Floyd, and Bernard Pierce.

Dropped Moncrief, Odell Beckham, and Eric Ebron. Thoughts? Not sure if Pierce or Forsett will get the carries for Baltimore

I picked up Forsett in one league and Avery (WR Chiefs) in the other. Grabbed for Forsett in both, but missed in my 12-man league. Dropped Ray Rice for Avery. Dropped Marcedes for Forsett.

I also picked up Forsett and Gordon.

Forsett will get a good amount of carries as Pierce wasnt that certain to be the starter at Baltimore.

I also believe Gordon will lay this season, maybe not as soon as Welker (who I also have, SPDD team for the win), but he'll get you enough points once he is back.

Why in the world would you have any of the 3 players you dropped on your roster is michael Floyd was available to begin with? Unless you are in a dynasty league, all of the players you dropped have 0 value. And if you are in a dynasty league, dropping Ebron for pierce is a bad move.

They were on my bench. Just gambling on potential breakouts. Looks like Brandin Cooks might be the only rookie I had that'll pan out for fantasy this season, add Hurns now. It's not a dynasty league. Should've taken Kelvin Benjamin

10M league. My bench was mostly rookies, and a team or two has backup QBs, TEs, and DSTs on their bench. ESPN league too, maybe Floyd slipped in their draft ranking. I aint complaining though.

When did you draft?  I had 2 10M drafts where I selected him in the 7th, which was when he was about at the top of the rankings for ESPN.  I drafted the 3rd and 4th week of preseason.  That's crazy that he wasn't drafted, even if you did have an early draft.

I picked up Forsett and Clemons. (this league had a DL, a DB, a LB and a team defense.)

Looking like Asiata if you need someone right now and McKinnon if you are looking for higher upside later in the year.  Here is a nice blurb on McKinnon from rotoworld: As you can read in the Zach Whitman column linked below, SPARQ is a metric developed by Nike to apply a single composite score to a player's athleticism. An elite NFL athlete is around 140 and the 150+ range is reserved for the Calvin Johnson types. The point is that although McKinnon is very raw as he comes out of Georgia Southern and has very little pass pro experience, he's a freak. "Backs with McKinnon’s speed, lower-body explosiveness and upper-body strength just don't exist," wrote Whitman. He'll be a change-of-pace back behind Matt Asiata to start, but his fantasy ceiling is far higher. McKinnon is a solid stash while we see where Adrian Peterson's case goes.

Lions TE Joseph Fauria injured his ankle at home the other day.   He went for an MRI on Thursday.   It's likely that Eric Ebron,  who has played less than 33 % of the Lions Offense plays this season,  will have a bigger role at the Jets on Sunday.   Whether that shows up on the stat sheet in the game remains to be seen.
