I don't want to derail the thread, but everyone knows it is.

It seems like everyone compares Bortles to either Favre or Roethlisberger. I don't know where the Favre comparisons come from because he was not as mobile and throw lots of interceptions.

Favre was a double edge sword.  Yes he does have the NFL record for most ints.  He also had the NFL record with the most TDs.   I don't have a problem with a QB who is a huge risk taker because it always puts the team in games.

When people make comparisons, they have to look at more than one thing. Besides risk taking, how else are Blake and Brett similar?

By making plays out of nothing and if you don't still see the comparisons then watch some of Brett Favre old footage as a NFL player.

Early in Favre's career, I remember him being very mobile, extending plays on rollout and pocket escapes.

He was very much a gunslinger who threw quite a lot of INTs too.

Let's all hope Bortles does not turn into an interception machine. The Favre comparison would be great if he always threw to a teammate.

Not me, I compare him to Andrew Luck.  I think he's way more athletic and mobile then either of those guys.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Rivers is gonna have a field day against the league's worst defense. Pulling out a victory would be the biggest upset of the season thus far.
Only a chump boos the home team!

Quote:NEWS FLASH !!!  The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Little Sisters of the Blind (LSB) in a devastating last minute shoot out in overtime. QB Margret sieges sighting cane broke just inches from the goal line as time ran out for LSB in the Jags first win of the season.

But not without devastating injuries. Jags lost 8 players to a stout LSB defense.

The Jags next scheduled game against the South Carolina school for the [BLEEP] (SCR) won't be as easy as the Jags are 15 point underdogs. Jags QB Blake Bortles hopes to throw the SCR defense off with long snap counts since the SCR front seven has a problem with numbers. Veteran QB Kevin Kolb for SCR says he has smoked over an ounce of crack cocaine in preparation for this game and hopes to have his butt beat by someone before the game ends. It ought to be a barn burner ! SCR this season drafted 7 violent sex offenders all of which have played in the NFL.  It could get romantic out there.

Quote:It will face a very tough test against Rivers and the Chargers.

They have pretty much owned the Jags for a while now.

It always amazes me how these things hold true for all teams. Certain teams always play really well against a certain team. Look at Cleveland VS NO. Doesn't matter who the players are, who the coaching staff is, it just contours for years.

That being said, I hope we can break that trend today with a new team going out there for the first time. Even though they crushed us last year in Jax.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
