I think that they knew that they could hold Rutgers offense in check, so they played on the conservative side, just my guess who knows.

you say teddy can read the defense, you say teddy can change plays from the line of scrimmage, yet you blame the coach for the playcalling?  rutgers has one of the worst pass defense in college, surely teddy knew that, but he didnt really exploit it?

Often times his playcalling/audibles are switching sides of the field or switching from a pass to a run play. So if the play call is a run, he would really only switch up the type of run

 

And no one is blaming anyone for anything. They won the game.
