Quote:It's probably a psychological thing. If my team lost a game and I had to talk about it in front of the cameras I'd probably be in discomfort. I think if Henne could teach him anything its how to handle an interview after a butt whooping by turning into a motivational speech.

Chad Henne is teaching him some things about how to play quarterback. Anybody can teach a guy how to handle a postgame interview.

Do you think he will keep his hand down after a win?

Maybe he doesn't use aftershave?? Or maybe he is in deep thought to the profoundness of the moment?

I will say this... I would love to sit and play poker with the guy

Maybe we should get him some extra gus juice before each press conference, that way we know he will have the eternal Gus face here are some clips from some of his press conferences

Of course he does not use aftershave. He seems to be growing a beard.

Maybe he is tricotillomanic?? That could explain his obsession with facial hair. Really the possibilities are vast.

I don't know that word, but if he was truly obsessed with facial hair, I would expect him to have an Andrew Luck style beard and moustache.

Here you go JW

Keep in mind that this can manifest in different ways... But in the end touching, or pulling, or even twirling hair helps them to relieve stress..

Nothing in that article indicates scratching facial hair can be OCD-related stress relief. I will assume Blake does not have that problem.

who cares about his "odd behavior"? (misleading title) He clearly has a nervous tick, most of us have them when we talk to people in public, whether it be touching the face or doing something else with our hands or feet.  It's normal - let it be.  /end of thread.

I was just wondering about this because nobody else does it in all of the zillion pressers and interviews I have watched online or on TV.

True, but many times people with this disorder, like to feel their hair, or even do it subconsciously It is a natural reaction to stress. I know this as I have had multiple family members suffer from this. And one of them would stroke his face similar to that all the time whenever he was stressed or bored, and then later pull out hair When no one was around...

Obviously I doubt he has this... But even if he did... Who gives a crap, I just like the fact he plays football good.

He is not the only one who does it.

Quote:Is Blake Bortles uncomfortable talking to the media after games? During his first presser as the starting quarterback and after the last two games he frequently scratched his face - and not always where a beard is growing in. TV cameras never show him doing this on the sideline. Could this be a sign that he really does not want to talk to a bunch of reporters about the team's struggles on offense?
Wow.  Really?

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Are we really so low that we have to analyze how many times he scratches his face during a postgame interview?  C'mon man!!!

OMG!! I was about to say the exact same thing. What is going on with this fanbase that we have to talk about "face scratches" and Hurns "almost dropping" a pass? Are we this bored or this un-entertained? Or as Raven09s said, are we this low? My lord this is a horrible thread.

If you think I offended you, don't worry, I meant to. #facts
