His greatest attribute is his availability. He doesn't have hamstrings made of toilet paper like all our other wrs.

I was very cautious to get excited about his preseason because we've had preseason allstars before but he seems to be a big play guy. Fix his hands and he can be great.

I don't know what the record is for most yards in a season for an undrafted rookie receiver but considering there's next to no data on it, I'd say 600-700 would easily be the record.

Personally, I kind of like the acrobatic, juggling type catches... It adds to the excitability factor.  :teehee:

So how do you all think Hurns will do tomorrow?

Well, he's been productive thus far. I think he'll have another good day. Their secondary isn't all that scary.

What about Rod Smith?

I think about how he never takes his eyes off the ball when he juggles it. That is something you want to see in a wide receiver: concentration. But of course I wish we had that touchdown on the 44-yard post route.

Hurns will have a big day, but I think Big Ben will have a bigger one.. Our secondary is atrocious.

Didn't we get it two plays later?

Rod Smith only had 152 yards his first year.

I went through a lot of emotions in that half second of juggling.

I think with consistency with who is throwing him the ball and more repetition in games the drops will decrease

I was just thinking of how awesome that touchdown would have been if he caught the ball on the run and got the last two yards.

So.........

still think Allen is set to 're-write the history books after the pathetic drops he had today? He just looked like another so so mediocre rookie receiver in a long line of flash in the pan mediocre rookie receivers who've been on this team. The great receivers have two things in common...

#1. they are on the field.

#2. they consistently catch the ball if it's catchable.

Hurns drops today played a big part in causing the offense to stall...

thanks Allen...
