Bortles is a problem

Bortles is just a tougher/mobile version of Gabbert.

Quote:Well yeah.... he was a contributor to the loss, though he had a lot of help. But this is his rookie season... he is gonna have games like this; that's just the way it is.

You're correct he did have help. The receivers were god awful too. But I'm not babying this team anymore. At some point, rookies or not, you have to see improvement. Today the defense played well enough to win. They gave 10 points. The Offense crapped the bed.

Crack? Probably eating those lead paint chips.

You're trolling.

They aren't trolling, they are sincerely that stupid.

You people are funny.

Dude has the worst offensive roster around him in Jaguars history and we acting surprised that a rookie in his second start isn't overcoming the glaring deficiencies around him.

bad play by Bortles. But dammit playcalling and penalties put him in the worst situations possible

Quote:Of course he contributed to the loss, but to declare him a "problem" after two starts is way too premature.

Does Bortles currently have a problem throwing ints?

I wasn't impressed with him today.

But I still think he's got a chance to be really good.

Quote:This kid is nothing like the comparisons. He's a turnover machine. He was inaccurate and threw floaters all day long. People are giving him a pass but hes the reason we lost.

Maybe you should get in there and play QB for the Jags, surely you could do better than BB has done so far.

I would certainly watch.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

had a few tight throws that could have been picked too... but i wouldnt leap to any conclusions yet... the kid is willing to take shots, able to be mobile and still stay productive,  and he's tough which i haven't seen from a jags QB in quite some time... he is playing behind a line that gave up 10 sacks in week 2 yet he still making games competitive.

Bottles is literate at reading defenses. Occasionally staring down a receiver isn't the end of the world. Did you hear them saying the majority of the league starts one rookie on the whole team?

It is blasphemy to put Bortles and Gabbert in the same sentence.

Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.

We gave gabbert multiple years before declaring him a bust...... can Bortles at least have multiple games before we give up on him?? In these 2 games he also has shown more highlights then gabberts did in multiple years.

Gabbert had one wow play his whole career here and that was in a td in Minnesota to shorts

Please! Get that weak soft mentality out of here. Go re-watch the picks. Was there a protection issue on each of those throws?
