Bortles is a problem

The announcers repeatedly said during the game the the Jags needed better talent around him

It'll only take this franchise three to four years to figure that out, meanwhile they'll pass on a QB next draft who will become a perennial pro-bowler.

Quote:Please! Get that weak soft mentality out of here. Go re-watch the picks. Was there a protection issue on each of those throws? The only soft mentality around here is your derpy [BLEEP] not understanding that a rookie QB is going to make rookie mistakes. The pick-6 was a bad throw. Both INTs featured rookie WRs doing absolutely nothing to help by challenging for the football. Brees threw a couple horrible INTs today too. Must be a bust.
Quote:Weren't you the clown that thought Blackmon was arrested a couple days ago? I'm pretty sure you were that genius. This guy will NEVER be confused for a genius. He's one of the biggest Jag's trolls in the history of Jag's football. He's as sad an excuse for a Jags fan as you will find anywhere. Always complaining about something. He's one of those people who isn't happy unless he's complaining about something. A sad way to live indeed.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Can't read defenses? I recall him seeing a blitz and then then audible out for a 8 yard gain
Who cares about the first pick, second and 30 form the 7, might as well throw it up for grabs one on one. The second was bad, but he is a rookie for the love of god playing with 5 other rookies. What do you expect? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Wow thanks Captain Obvious. Some of you are real idiots and just need it spelled out from time to time..
When you have a qb willing to take shots like Bortles, you also need wrs that attack the ball in the air. Come back to the ball and adjust better. That first pick to ARob today Blackmon wouldve adjusted and caught as well as the pick to Cecil last week. The wrs arent helping him out and hes giving them opportunities. The pick six was all on blake tho
Don't worry. There are good QBs in the next draft class, and next after next, etc.
The second one wasn't just a bad decision, but the ball came out looking like an already shot duck. If you're going to make that pass, at least zing the darn ball.

This thread is ridiculous. He's playing with 5 rookies including 2 WRs who dropped as many balls as they caught. They don't make any adjustment to the ball to either catch it or keep the defender from intercepting it and Bortles is the problem. Get real.

Go watch your Noles. Life's easier that way for you. I'm much more accustomed than you to deal with teams that don't fare well.

Well, the offense is moving the ball better than before, moving the chains more regularly.
However, 3 FG in the last 6 qtrs of play is dreadful. This is expected though with basically the while unit being rookies and 2nd year guys. Dumb Penalties, Dropped Passes, Batted Passes, Cutting off Routes before the Markers, Weak Protection, and a Rookie QB making Terrible Rookie Mistakes. It'll get better, but it's gonna take longer than the amount of patience fans have.

Bortles didn't look good today, but it'll only be a problem if he continues to have bad days. Comparing him to Gabbert at this point is the dumbest thing I've heard all day, and I've heard someone suggest that a wild card team be added based on fantasy football points.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Not really sure what people were expecting. Rookie QBs usually throw a lot of Interceptions and make even more mistakes. Bortles has shown some good and some bad, I think the potential has far outweighed the negative so far. Will he be a franchise QB? I have no idea but it will be interesting to watch his development.

I thought we should cut him immediately.

Quote:This kid is nothing like the comparisons. He's a turnover machine. He was inaccurate and threw floaters all day long. People are giving him a pass but hes the reason we lost. You just continue to solidify your status as a complete idiot. |
