What happened to Paul Posluszny?

#21

Daryl Smith was the best bet to our defense. It really ticks me off the Poz gets credit in this defense. He makes no notable plays, and his tackles are always 10+ yards downfield. The reason he always leads with tackles on our defense is because they're on the field so much.

He is absolutely no where near the level that a Brian Urlacher would bring to your team.

He actually makes tackles instead of whiffing like the rest of the defense.  If he wasn't there, we'd probably double our missed tackle rate.  He's one of the least of our concerns.

One of these years.............

He is great at tackling right after the receiver catches the ball...

It seemed like everybody was against the Steelers, but only Poz can do it consistently.

Quote:Does anyone know what happened to him at the two-minute warning? Spedo Dedes said they were looking at his left arms (like he has two) LOL. CBS did not replay it so I have no idea how he got hurt on the play.

He was too slow and a liability, he got hurt by association.

If you think I offended you, don't worry, I meant to. #facts

Being too slow has absolutely nothing to do with getting hurt and you know that.

Yeah I wondered why he said that. Since when has any player had two left arms?

He was never my favorite CBS commentator.

Why are we trying to compare him to a hall of famer?

Quote:No, he has never been a good fit for our defense.

This guy hasn't been watching the Jags for very long.

Just watched the game and Poz actually didn't look too shabby. Maybe someone lit a fire under his butt.

Obviously. He is just having a down year like all NFL players do.

You think he's been a fit for Bradley's defense? He sure hasn't played like it...

All players don't have down years. Years as in plural. He's being asked to do things that are part of his weaknesses. It isn't his fault that he's been asked to do those things and he's done well enough all things considered. The whole linebacking group has struggled in this crap coverage we've continued to run though, Pox is far from the biggest problem here.

He certainly played like it last year or he would not have gone to the Pro Bowl.

I said year singular. Maybe he is not a fit this year because of the Otto position? I don't know, but he was definitely good last season with the same defensive scheme.

Before his decline he was a dominant 4-3 MLB.  Plug him in from 3 - 5 years ago, you bet he'd be a fit.

This isn't an old school 4-3, that's my point. This also isn't 3-5 years ago.

Exactly. I think he is just on the downside of his career.
