Quote:I stayed because I thought the Jags were playing for overtime.

And what a glorious finish you were able to watch. Can't say the same for the guy who left early to beat traffic and hears the stadium erupt in the parking lot.

What glorious finish are you talking about? Was I at the same game you were at?

DG's 2010 Hail Mary to win the game against the Texans. It doesn't get much better than that.

Oh, I thought you were talking about this Sunday's game.

That was probably the best play in team history that did not involve the opponent's kicker.

However, you can't discount the 59-yarder by Josh Scobee a few weeks earlier.

We actually stuck around until about 20 min after the game to avoid walking back to the lot among the herd of steelers fans.

Kaishakunin for hire.

Quote:I have season tickets in the "expensive seats" as Section105 calls them..  I have had them for years (and have a 10+ year Lapel pin to prove it LOL) .   I left when the Steelers picked up a first down with about 3 minutes remaining.  The game was over.

I have a 2 hour drive back home. By leaving a few minutes early (when the game was decided) I was home by 6:30.   If I had waited a few more minutes, I would have had to walk out to the tailgaters lot with a bunch of drunk obnoxious steelers fans, and then been stuck in traffic and not made it home until closer to 8:00 or 8:30.

If that makes me less of a fan in your mind... I'm good with that.

Same here, once Heath Miller was left wide open on third down for a big gain is when I called it a game over. Many people may leave their seats but stand to see the end in the walkways. I have done that a few times. And yea I can yell from that point also. But bottom line, many other things to complain about with this franchise than slamming the people who pay to show up and actually help keep this team here.

Agree completely.

Exactly how can the game be over with three minutes left? You guys all know we could have forced another turnover  I can understand leaving your seat at the two-minute warning and watching on TV inside, but anytime before that, there is still a chance we get the ball back.

Another issue I have not seen brought up yet is blocking the views of other fans. When people in front of me get up to buy something use a restroom, I can't see the field. Imagine how many fans can't see the field when dozens of others in the same section go home early. It would be like if I was sitting when everybody else stood up after a touchdown. If you need to leave early to beat traffic, wait for a team to call timeout or score, a play to be reviewed, or a player to get hurt so that the people in higher rows will not be missing anything when they can't see the field.

Were there a lot of Steelers fans in your section?

 Wah

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I left with about 4 minutes to go....my wife tore her miniscus and she has trouble going up and down stairs, as well as walking.

Does this excuse work for the OP?

I paid for my tickets and I have the right to leave whenever I please.  Someone saying I'm a bad or "fickle" fan doesnt do jack to me.  I put enough of my money into this team so that I can do whatever I want.

FBT, do you have a problem with simple courtesy? I understand sometimes it is unavoidable and don't mind a few people getting up to do something important.

Based on Article II, Section I, paragraph 1 of the original post, you are exempt.

So why did you go to the game? It would have been better for her to stay home and rest the bad knee. If he got hurt on her way from the car to the stadium that's a good excuse but if she was already injured, I would have sold the tickets to somebody else for her sake.

Sell his ticket? Why? So there would have been 2 more Steeler fans at the game? I think he got his money worth out of his ticket.

Did you go to the game? I think you should quit talking to people that actually go to games and actually put money into the team.

I'm trying to be nice to you.

I just love how the people that sit at home tell the people that actually attend the game that they should not leave early.

I just love how the people that sit at home tell the people that actually attend the game that they need to be more patient.

If you don't physically go to the game then please just shut the heck up about how the ticket holder should act or what they should post !!
