Jaguars fans leaving the stadium with the game still in question

These threads pop up every year and always make me laugh. Anyone that pays for a ticket has the right to leave whenever they dang well want. I left at the 2 minute warning because I have a 4 hour drive home and the game was over. I'm just thankful that for the most part the Steeler fans were pretty respectful, unlike years past where they act like they are God's gift to the world.

Quote:You should know by now many Jaguars fans don't go to games because of where they live and how much money they have. I am one of them. That does not mean those people have no right to criticize the fans who do go to the game for leaving early.

You do not have a right to say a word to me.  I am a bigger supporter of this team than you will ever be.

Quote:Lol if you don't goto the games, you need to can the fickle fan talk. Those "fickle" fans put MASSIVE amounts of money into the franchise, and what do you contribute? The profit from the old Maurice Jones Drew jersey that is laying on the floor of your closet?

Before you think you're a better Jaguar fan because you theoritically wouldn't leave a game, you should actually GOTO one first.

Great post..........and if they think having fans leave a couple minutes early "demotivates" the players, think again. If having your rear end kicked week after week doesn't motivate the players, I doubt that seeing people leaving early has any effect.

Great job ignoring them.

I didn't leave early but certainly have done so in the past. I've been to every game ever played in Jax but one, and leaving early for me is due to finding something more pleasurable than watching another poor performance on the field. At some point, it's just not fun anymore sitting in the stadium watching ineptitude. I prefer to get back to my car with a cold beer, and food, and friends.

Why do you say that? This is America. We have freedom of speech. This is a message board. Its purpose is to communicatr to other Jaguars fans. You are a total idiot if you truly believe that.

FYI I bleed black, gold, and teal until the day I die and you have no right to judge my fanhood without being a mind reader.

Does this excuse work for the OP?

I paid for my tickets and I have the right to leave whenever I please.  Someone saying I'm a bad or "fickle" fan doesnt do jack to me.  I put enough of my money into this team so that I can do whatever I want.

Clearly wasn't talking about you, but you're welcome to choose to be offended.  In the next line you say it doesn't do jack to you...  you sure about that?

Walking oxymoron of a post.

When

I say " ignore" I'm talking about them not having any effect on my future behavior. I'll comment all day long, or as long as those like you persist in beating this dead horse.

Quote:We're seriously starting threads flaming people for leaving early? Really?

I was at the game, and I left with about 3 minutes left in the game. Flame on.

I thank you, and all the other fans that have been going to these games, for your service.

But you have every right to judge the fanhood of people who leave a game early? O.K., now I get it.

It did not. JW was able to access it.

This thread topic comes up every season, and my thought is the same every time.

The OP and anyone that believes like she/he can kiss a certain body part of mine where the sun doesn't shine.

I don't have a count of how many games I have attended, and I don't particularly remember exactly which seasons I held season tickets.  I also have attended many other activities including practices, media locations (television hosted programs) and "un-official" activities such as send-offs for away games.

On game day I'll sit, stand, chant (or not), cheer (or not) and I'll certainly decide when it's time for me to leave the game regardless of my reason.

I am so sick of people telling me how I should conduct myself during games.  Those people that want to judge me as "not being a real fan" or whatever really need to get a life.

You can get away with this garbage of calling out people leaving if you're Nick Saban, but my best guess is that you're not.. So pipe down and just be happy that people are buying tickets to this big fat lump of cow dung that we all get to stare at on the field, season after season..

Wow, I've seen it all now.  People who don't buy tickets criticizing people that do.  Yeah, I totally get that argument.  Hey, I couldn't have left early because I didn't show up at all.

I don't think of anyone as less of a Jaguars fan than I am for leaving games early because obviously if they were not fans, they would not buy tickets. Duh. But I think you should be courteus to people around you by leaving during a break in the action unless there is an emergency. Is that too much to ask? When a lot of people leave early that can be a problem, unlike the random restroom breaks where only one person is blocking my view.

As for me personally, I always stay to the end because if I didn't, I would feel like I wasted $120 - the cost of a Sectoin 213 seat.

Should probably find a doctor and get that checked out. Could be sulfhemoglobinemia.
