Marcus Mariota Vs Teddy Bridgewater

Quote:They run the exact same offense and make the exact same plays. Mariota has a better arm. It takes a lot more than that to be elite at the NFL level.
I missed that the part where Dennis Dixon was considered an potential #1 draft pick as a 19-year-old. Mariota is more than just a nice arm and great speed. That's where you are missing it. The dude is wired to be a pocket passer.

That is my question. If he came from a pro style offense, I would be all for  him. But the last 2-3 years of the NFL should tell people something. Spread/Read option qbs are not here to stay, especially since the NFL ruled that they can be hit on option plays like a running back. All the success that Kaep and RG3 had last year running the ball was predicated on the fact that defenders were afraid to hit the qb. Now this year, the game is on.

based on fact that he like athletic running korterbak, and he want coo-kie, so he lie about korterbak passing abiltee

Quote:I think you are referring to when Bridgewater was warming up to play WR, and Strong told him he'd be playing QB. A lot of High School QB's switch position in college, not by choice either.

That was it. I remember that story now. Thanks for the clarification.

Quote:Here's something I have yet heard anyone address about Bridgewater that may interesting to look at. He was a former WR. How many WRs turned QBs have had successful NFL careers?

Roethlisberger has done pretty well

I like Teddy better than Mariota but some thinks we go with Mariota if we have the 1st pick.  I think Mariota will be good but i would def. rather Teddy.

The boy put Mettenberger as the number 3 overall pick. The same guy who completed 9 passes against florida.

That's possibly one of the worst mocks I have ever seen.

I've written some analysis of both Teddy and Mariota.

If Mariota can put some muscle on I wouldn't mind taking him in the 2nd as a project RB.

Haha trollin.

I doubt he makes it out of the top 5...he might not make it past the Jags if he keeps it up...

Nah we will be drafting too high. We will take the top QB.

Washington State should have stayed home. They can't defend all of their wides and they can't touch the RB.

Mariota is making all the passes and doing great scrambling. But all of these passes are screen passes are wide wide wide open downfield.

Could have had a wide open TD pass down the middle of the field but he threw it wide and the guy had to dive at the 1 to catch it.

I don't think he has any control over that.
