12 seconds.

I would have called a roll out and had Hurns do a deep pattern after biting and making the defender thing it was a 5 yard pattern.   If it's not there throw it out of bound.  Lost time would have only been 7 seconds.

Scobee would've been able to put more air into it rather than kick a line drive.

Again, you have to trust your offense to pick up the first down. Worst case scenario, it becomes 4th down and you're forced to line up quickly and throw a quick hail mary from the opponent's 40. Perfectly doable.

Right. In Madden.

he isnt going to kick a 55 yarder differently than a 50 yarder.  they both require max power

Quote:Running up the middle with 12 seconds left? Lol I promise you had that happened every Titan player would have held the RB up as long as possible and laid on top of them for as long as possible after the tackle. Get real. Scoobe has that range to make the kick. Just unfortunate that it played out like it did. Look on the bright side of Bortles being a heck of an athlete
And that would've resulted in a delay of game on the defense and even more yards for the offense and a clock stoppage. Especially during a point in the game where things like that matter significantly.

Quote:I really didnt see the point of not trying to get closer. 55 yards wasnt exactly close

55 is definitely doable for Scobee. I'd rather trust Scobee on 55 than risk a sack or inbounds tackle where the clock would have run out. It was blocked. It's unfortunate but this isn't on anyone but that line.

Yes, I don't think he's taking into account the pile up that would happen and just for 2 yards?  Would you tell the RB to get a first down then fall to the ground?

You have a chance to win with a makeable kick.  The kick was the right call.

Scobee's had a few kicks blocked this year, is he kicking low or a line problem?

This was the right call - I can't believe how naive some people are.

The longer the kick, the lower the trajectory. You can't put as much loft on long kicks.

We would have had a time out except for that dumb challenge.

Oh, well, if ifs and ands... were pots and pans......the world would be a kitchen.

Scobee's range... just not his day.

now we've only lost by a couple.

Heartbreaker but the brownies are next.

We can all at least agree that Bradley called one of the worst games any one of us has ever seen from a Jaguars coach though, right?

Yes, now that games are getting closer, we're coming to realize that Bradley is not a game manager with the clock and challenges.  I'D LIKE TO SEE HIM TAKE THE WONDERLIC TEST --- I THINK HE MAY BE VINCE YOUNG ESQUE.

The decision to NOT try at least one more play before kicking the field goal has got to be the dumbest decision the JAGS have made all season. A block is a block and it matters not if its at the 40 yard line or the 4 yeard line. But, come on guys, you got time to throw a sidline pass to try and pick up more yardage. These are the kinds of decisions 0-6 teams make. That being said, what does it say to your offense when the leading rusher in the game is your QB. Can't blame the total lack of rushing on TG this time can you all the Toby Gerhart haters........... he didn't even play. Seems pretty clear to me that Bortles picked up those yards not so much because HOLES were opened by the OL, but rather great coverage on receivers by the defense or some kind of broken play. Today, Bortles kept it close and should be commended for it. I'm sure there are those who STILL want to lay the poor rushing offense on Toby Gerhart even after today but all that proves is you know very little and instead of looking at the scope of the real problem.............you choose to put it squarely on the likes of Toby Gerhart as to why the offense is so bad. It's easier to justify stupidity this way by blaming one guy. Maybe it was Henne's fault why they lost today huh!

Today's loss was as much as coaching as ANYTHING ELSE!  At the end of the day however, the JAGS are still 0-6 and still not a very good football team.

Yes, Thank you kicking expert.  The difference in trajectory, if there is one, between a 50 and 55 yarder is negligible.
