Anyone who has watched him for an extended period of time can't help but to be impressed. Clemson though will be a huge test.
If he's that good.... why does he remind me of Byron Leftwich.... big arm, poor mechanics, slow and lumbering...
Just seems to have a lot of wide open receivers when playing against cupcake teams and pretenders like Maryland and Pitt.... Play Somebody!!

I don't see any poor mechanics from Jameis. You will see on November 2nd when he craps all over your high school defense.
The only thing Jameis Winston and Byron Leftwich have in common is they both look alike with the baby face and their build. Winston is legit and he will be starting in the NFL one day. That's coming from a Gator fan.
He'll get a true test in late November when he goes up against the no-fly zone in Gainesville. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Hopefully all the non-believers last night were converted. It's so much fun watching this kid play.

LOVE THEM JAGUARS!

The name is Fameis Jameis ![]() Stephen Morris looked great throwing 4 int's. against a 1-4 NC team on thurs. night. The canes will get steamrolled on Nov. 2nd. We doing it BIG....Florida State bringing that SWAG back in 2013!!!!

I thought he had an okay game last night. He missed a few throws, and his WR's bailed him out on some others.
I really enjoyed watching his poise throughout the game though. It seemed as if the stage wasn't too big for him and that's saying something when you play in Death Valley - Clemson version.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote:I thought he had an okay game last night. He made all the throws, showed poised and leadership and athleticism. He showed everybody he is better then Boyd as a freshman!!" He had a Ok game" you're a funny guy! Winston for Heisman. I saw a few throws go high on him, and he nailed some others. There were some great moments, and there were some bad ones. As I said, it was an ok game.

You can try to talk it down as much as you want but he was amazing. He looked like the calm cool senior and Boyd looked like the freshman. It wasn't a contest between the two. I love Teddy, but Winston has the potential to be absolutely phenomenal. Teddy is still the best prospect since/possibly including Luck... Winston, if he develops his mental game, could be better than each.

I agree with you, and I've already stated how poised he looked going into an incredibly hostile environment. He still made bad throws, but that's to be expected. The sky is the limit for this guy especially since he is so young, but let's not lie to ourselves and say he had a perfect game.

He was phenomenal from start to finish. In the course of every game a QB will miss a read, sail a throw, underthrow, etc. What he did last night was exceptionally awesome. He's special.

I would take Winston over Bridgewater. I know the drafts won't be the same, but Winston is much more impressive to me at this point.
