I like Pete Carmichael Jr. myself, but I'm not sure how much Experience he has with play calling. But, again, I wouldn't want to say he could do a better job than Bradley either.

Offense has been a problem for this team going back to 2009 ish. The defense is bad, but you gotta score points.

I am just trying to figure out why everyone used this thread to prove they did not watch one minute of  the press conference.

 

I started this thread for one reason: so people can watch talk about the entire press conference. Instead all I got was people saying crap that can only mean they don't care.

They've also had one full game less than we have.  And they're two spots ahead of us.  The Dolphins are next, but they've also had fewer games than us.  Sames goes for the 6 teams behind us.

Repeatedly.  But, some folks here are very selective in what they hear.  If they bothered to have a grasp of the facts, they'd have a lot less to whine about here. 

 

If you watched the presser, you heard him talk about making himself accountable.

He's been doing it from the start as the head coach taking blame when it was clearly coaching that was the issue, but don't let that get in the way.

 

I don't care what he says publicly.  I just hope that he figures out what's wrong with the team, and fixes it.  Because I think we have a little more talent on this team than the results show.  I'm not saying anyone here has it right.  But I hope Gus is able to figure out what is right.

 

The team has shown improvement from the start of the season.  What he says publicly during pressers is irrelevant, and it's not truly representative of what's going on behind closed doors inside the stadium. 

 

This notion that Bradley is a simpleton, or in over his head is silly.  Neither insinuation is accurate.

Dude, face it, Gus is still not a good HC in terms of game management. Maybe he's getting better every day. But still, every Sunday there is something that occurs where you scratch your head wonder what the heck Gus was thinking..

That's the definition of being in over your head.

I'm not going so far as to say simpleton, but this is clearly a job that has a HUGE learning curve for him. It's natural for a new HC in the NFL to have a learning curve... But man, he's looking like he still has alot of figuring out to do.

Please name a few head coaching candidates that you think would be good choices other than Harbuagh.  It's no guarantee that he'll even be leaving San Fran.

 

 

 IMO, any retread head coach from college or the NFL will do. I like Gus but here's the problem with him. He doesn't know how to game plan and win a game when you have no business doing so. I think that any veteran HEADCOACH has that ability. The actual know how to out coach or game plan and put his players in position to execute it. Gus Bradley has not displayed that ability in a year in a half and to me he falls into the Jack Del Rio category. Those are guys that will have some time figure out a few things but never realize the big picture. At least on the first stint as Head Coach. 

 

 In Seattle the success didn't really begin to occur until Pete Carrol arrived. Here's the thing with Pete Carrol, he's a pedigree guy. Meaning he was brought up the ranks with a Hall a Fame coach and saw and participated in a winning environment. When Pete failed as a Head Coach in the NFL he went to USC and built a monster program and refined his coaching skill. Then he went to Seattle and the rest is history. 

 

 Gus is not there yet. It's not to say that he couldn't come clean on the other side of the sewer later but I don't think he's the coach to help build this team into a winner. A retread would probably get more wins out of this team now. But I think our new Head Coach should be someone who has some time as a Head Coach and shown the ability to win. That's the guy that can take this team to the next level.

A coach standing on the sideline has someone in his ear in the booth telling him what they think he needs to do in challenge situations.  He's not off the tether and just throwing flags around.  Someone said he should challenge it after watching both replays.  In one instance, it was borderline.  In the other, it was a wasted challenge. 

 

As far as something happening every week, is it possible that it isn't as much about coaching as it is about a lack of talent in certain areas?  I'd say the latter is more of a driving factor in what's happening right now than the coaching.
