Fire Gus Bradley

Take a look at the Jags hanging onto Del Rio for 9 years and tell me how that worked out!

This team is a perfect reflection of coach Bradley. They have bought into the message. They believe what he preaches.
The team is bad an inexperienced. Like Bradley and the coaching staff.

Quote:you can be 2-4 and still qualify as "struggling".... I think this team is a special case. Shack was bad. Gene was worse. It's not like this team is complete; it's not. Most coaches are at least afforded complete rosters. Do you think a Chip Kelly (or whoever) would be doing any better?
Bradley is a fake.
We need a coach with a proven record who knows how to hire assistants.

Yes, I think Chip Kelly would be doing better. Not significantly better, but he'd have a few W's this year. I tell you what, we wouldn't be averaging something like 14 points/game if Kelly was the coach.

Quote:I think this team is a special case. Shack was bad. Gene was worse. It's not like this team is complete; it's not. Most coaches are at least afforded complete rosters. I think Bruce Arians would have this team playing at a higher level. I liked Arians as a choice when the Cardinals picked him, and wished we got him instead of Bradley. But alas. Here's hoping Bradley is able to do better soon.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
It's tough to say, but you can look at certain things he's done...
he seems like an amateur when it comes to clock management and challenging calls. his coordinators are also terrible. So what exactly has he done to warrant such patience?

I'm glad that I learned today that a Head Coach magically makes a team play better and score more points.

Quote:I'm glad that I learned today that a Head Coach magically makes a team play better and score more points. Umm, yeah, that's his job?
You can't preach "we're a teaching staff" and have this many mistakes every week
Quote:It's tough to say, but you can look at certain things he's done... Nothing. We are waiting to see what he can do with a complete team (which we get to see next year). Let's not forget the players love him. I think that's an important barometer. The team wants to win for him.
Quote:Nothing. We are waiting to see what he can do with a complete team (which we get to see next year). No NFL roster is "complete"

Quote:Has Gus made any really good coaching decisions since he has been here? Good point. Can anyone remember ANY specific case where you can point to a game and say Gus' coaching decision there was pivotal??? I can't think of any. But as you said, the bone headed decisions seem to be mounting. Quote:I don't agree with firing him now but I will say he needs to start winning some games and show some competitive football on Sundays. I don't think anyone is suggesting they fire him right now. But at seasons end, we still haven't begun to see some serious change, then I think he should be gone at that point. Quote:It's concerning that we're one of the 4 worst teams in the history of the NFL.... only 3 other teams in the history of the league have started 0-6 in consecutive years. Wow, I didn't know only 3 other teams in the history of this league have started 0-6 in consecutive seasons..... I wonder if ANY of those teams were under the SAME head coach?..... Quote:Do you want to keep him around for next year if we go 0-16 this year? Given what we have seen from Gus so far and what we've learned about him as a head coach, I don't think I'd want him back next year if we go 4-12 or less, this year. If he showed more as a coach up until this point, I'd be more hesitant to see him go, but we've really seen very little other than being a head cheerleader. Quote:It would be different if we had a complete team. We are still missing FS, the entire LB corps, and a whole lot of depth, among other things. If we had those pieces in place and we were still struggling, that would be one thing. As it is, there are too many variables to make a judgement on coach. I think a lot of coaches would struggle with this squad. The reasoning of needing top players at every position before you start seeing results is lame. Good coaches and good QB are able to do more with less. Gus has not made what we have, better.
Quote:I'm glad that I learned today that a Head Coach magically makes a team play better and score more points. Did you not see the improvement in Oakland this week? "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" Quote:Yes... fire the Head Coach again... Take a look at the Browns' coaching history and tell me how that's worked out.Their problem isn't the frequency of the change, it's the quality of the replacement. Coaches are no different than players in that respect. You don't get better replacing a chump with another chump.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.
Quote:Yes... fire the Head Coach again... Take a look at the Browns' coaching history and tell me how that's worked out. Are the Browns bad because they hired and fired a lot of head coaches, or have they been bad because they simply continued to hire BAD head coaches? Quote:I believe you fire the coach after he's had some time to prove he can be the guy. Not at all. 2 years is enough to start showing something. Look at where the Dallas Cowboys were by the end of year 2 under the Jimmy Johnson regime. And this was after finishing 1-15 in his first year. Quote:I think this team is a special case. Shack was bad. Gene was worse. It's not like this team is complete; it's not. Most coaches are at least afforded complete rosters. No this is not a special case. Gimme a break. Its excuses like that that have this team in a 14 year funk. Quote:Bradley is a fake. I agree. Quote:I think an Andy Reid would do better. I think there are a number of coaches that would be doing better than Bradley over the last 2 years had they been our coach. Andy Reid is only one of them. Quote:You can't preach "we're a teaching staff" and have this many mistakes every week Another good point. Quote:Nothing. We are waiting to see what he can do with a complete team (which we get to see next year). Quote:No NFL roster is "complete" Not only that but you also shouldn't need to have a complete roster before you start seeing significant improvement. The same excuses are being made for Bradley that were made for bad head coaches like Mularkey and Del Rio. It never seems to end....
All of you Bradley supporters, mainly those jumping on people with negative opinions of him, please list what you'you've been impressed with thus far? What has he done well?
sit back and let it soak in...
I think the organization knows that the honeymoon period is officially over.
I expect some moves to be made this offseason ... My prediction is that babich or fish get canned at least.
