He's got some Aaron Beasley in him.

Besides the first name, how does he compare to Beasley?

Long, lean player, always around the ball, physical and willing in run support, has a nose for the QB when he blitzes. Colvin looks a little faster than Beasley ever was, so that's an added bonus.

If he is ready for Miami, would love to see him get some reps.. Maybe a nickel type role in passing situations. Although that would mean taking some reps away from telvin, who seems to be coming on as of late. Not sure I'm a fan of that.

Telvin doesn't play CB.

But don't we use telvin as our nickel on 3rd down situations due to his athleticism? That's pretty rare for a lb. usually that's reserved for a feisty physical corner, especially a young guy, a position that would seem to fit Colvin well at least until he gets adjusted and we see what he can and can't do.

No. He plays nickel LB, which means he replaces Geno Hayes in nickel formations. We still have a nickel CB (Blackmon) on the field.

Sometimes I think maybe a person is not being serious based on his posting habits.
