Again, This team could still have a bad record but show evidence/ examples of still being a well coached team. (See Tom Coughlin's coaching in years 2001-2002 as well as Jimmy Johnson in his second season in 1990). The reason why people are calling for Bradley's head isn't over "a rough patch" - its because he looks over in his head and continues to make the same type of rookie head coach mistakes over and over again. 

Will you quit throwing this wide net and list specifically these egregious mistakes he keeps making over and over. Tell us what games and instances that they occurred. How many times they occurred. Your claims are to vague and therefore diminished in credibility. This crap about " he looks over his head " Is as laughable as your " he does not have a football name " garbage.

Chicken or the egg. Rather than making mistakes because he's over his head, people think he looks over his head because of the mistakes his team is making. Although he has certainly made a few himself and owned up to them for the most part. Mostly clock management and poor judgement on throwing the replay flag. To be fair, TC made a few of those mistakes in his day and Del Rio was notorious for it.

 

No. The late game field goal decision on 3rd down with 12 seconds as well as the in game clock management  and game management crap is all on Bradley. Tom Coughlin wasn't making those mistakes his first year as a Jags coach, let alone his second. The assistant staff he chose is also horrible for the most part, led by the Coordinator choices. 

 

Sometimes you just gotta accept that the guy we hired for head coach is crap and bite the bullet.

#1 - It doesn't matter what the % is vs. success in year 1 or year 4. The fact that 4 of the best head coaches had absolutely horrible years then turned it around later is whats important.

 

#2 - Teams that keep firing/hiring coaches every 2 years on average do keep sucking. Feel free to look that up from the last 10 years.

 

#3 - Chuck Noll made HUGE mistakes in year 2 as a head coach. I know that for a fact as my dad wanted him GONE just as much as Mad Dog wants Bradley gone. He constantly told me stories of how bad Noll was his first couple years. Good thing the steelers organization knew better than my dad.

Everybody knows this. Some can just see that it takes longer then 22 games to make that decision. If the team turns it around under Bradley you will claim they are doing it in spite of him because the talent got better. You are as predictable as the tides. Rather boring these days.

What about the other longer list of bad coaches who were fired before their 3rd - 4th season.  This same argument was used with Gabbert saying he's somehow synonymous with all the HoFers instead of the longer list of scrubs.

I think the point is, it's to early to know if he's one of the stinkers or one of the keepers. Historically speaking, it could still go either way so you shouldn't fire him now and have him go on to a HOF coaching career with another team. That would really suck.

It's hard to say right now with no context. I think it's looking more and more likely that they do only win 3-5 games, which on the surface doesn't sound very satisfactory.


But Bradley has been put in a really unique position with all the rookies on offense. Maybe the offense scrapes along at 14-17ppg during the middle of the season, and after the bye they average 24ppg and are a top 15 offense over that span to close the season.


We might still only have a handful of wins but that would certainly change the feeling of the season for me personally.

Bill Walsh -  He was 8-24 in his first two seasons as 49ers head coach. 13-3 in his 3rd.

 

Chuck Noll - 12-31 in his first THREE seasons as steelers head coach. 11-3 in his 4th.

 

Tom Landry - 18-46 in his first FIVE seasons as dallas' head coach. Didn't have a winning record till' his 7th season then lit the world on fire.

 

Bill Belichick - 20-28 in his first three seasons as browns coach then 11-5 the next year.

 

 

Why should you care? These guys are or will be in the hall of fame as head coaches. Some even consider this bunch to be littered in the top 5 lists of head coaches all time.

 

Am I saying bradley is going to join this list? No. Im saying Quit whining and knee jerking like little babies. Lets have this play out 3 full seasons before we start demanding firings.
