yep, you don't look silly at all.

Why not take the word over a 3 time super bowl winning GM? Would seem they know a hell of a lot more about player development than you or I!

well for 1. whoever that is would be proclaiming that andrew luck is the greatest of all time then. which is ridiculous in and of itself.

2. you ever hear superbowl winning GMs opinions on guys like jamarcus russell or ryan leaf? how did those turn out? i mean they know more than i do but he went number 1 overall.......

Is this Colt fan seriously calling Andrew Luck the greatest QB of all time?

Seriously?

I didn't make the statement I just repeated what a well respected GM stated.

And the statement was best young QB in the last 40 years.

Quote:I guess technically he's done what Manning has done. Plow through an easy division only to be blown out in the playoffs.

That's what I've been saying for a while... not impressive in post season at all.  You could argue he had trouble with the biggest games in college as well.

Probably trying to do too much himself as he tends to do.  That's when the picks happen, when he lets himself get baited by the defense trying to get too cute.

Dalton gets hammered for his postseason play, yet Luck gets a pass... when they aren't that much different in the postseason.  Single game's difference, and the losses are just as bad or worse.

I get up at 3am to watch the jags 1pm games. I'm the one who should be mad at how bad we are.

So do you agree or disagree with the statement?

Oh and as Jax had Chris Polian scouting for them. I see many last place seasons!

Technically his gig is director of pro personnel here, so I don't know how much college scouting he would be doing.

Now, you might be able to point to some of our failed FA signings of the past 2 years and point to Polian...

Hey! Who am I to argue with a guy who helped build a team that got three SB rings? Clearly he knows talent much better than I do!

Yeah even if you think Luck is great (fantasy football owners this year) surely you don't think he's the best of the best?

Only JJ watt has played at such a level as to be compared to greats so early into his career in my opinion.

i wouldnt even do that. there are guys that have done it for 10-15 years. at only 4 years into jj's career, i think hes a monster, but i wouldnt go that far yet.

It really is inconsequential to me. But I would endorse his opinion before anyone on a fan message board.

Agreeing with SC.... That's the lowest you can get.

Not sure you can regain yourself after that.

How do you feel about the other Colts fan in here pimping the notion that Andrew Luck is the best QB in the past 40 years?
