Quote:I never said I wanted him gone. I just have brain enough to realize anyone relying on a 7th round pick without ever having seeen good play from him is a few beans short of a chalupa.

Take off your teal colored glasses and realize the team doesn't have secret superstars. Stick to your creepy clown pron and porcelain dolls, sociopath.

Oh I must have hit a nerve.. What's the matter, Madden laughing at ya now too? You say you have a brain, which I'm sure you do, but that doesn't mean you're using it. Call the man "Not NFL Calibur" after he's gotten a sufficient enough chance and not a mere 14 attempts. Tomlinson in his prime couldn't find a hole to run through with this o-line.

Like I said, [BLEEP]..

No, I think it was the fact that you called me a [BLEEP] like 3 times that struck a nerve.  Don't like being called a sociopath for your creepy obsession, then don't cast first stones.

Not saying Tomlinson would excel behind this line, but he would damn sure flash, unlike all four of our current backs.

Weird that not even 1 of the 4 has been productive... Probably just four bad runningbacks and not the o line...
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Storm is a ROOKIE.. Who's amassed 14 total carries.. And I could care less what you call me.. If you don't like being called [BLEEP], quit acting like it..

Or both.  None of those 4 running backs has ever had success.

When you have 5 offensive linemen struggling, 1 running back, a full back that's playing average, and a tight end that's playing average then you have the secret recipe for one of the NFL's worst offenses.  Put Henne or Gabbert back there and you have record breaking bad.

Go ahead and crown every unknown a starter and proclaim the position set.  I'm sure that's how the NFL works.  Gifting 7th round players starting roles and proclaiming immunity for a few years while they "develop."  Maybe your teal colored glasses can google another clever meme.

Nobody's crowing anyone, but I'm damn sure not going to cut bait with a rookie who's only gotten 14 attempts so far..

And I've already stated that I wouldn't cut bait on Storm.  He has this season to prove he's worthy of a starting gig.  To this point he hasn't proven that he has feature back ability.  Normal people don't hitch their wagons to 7th round picks.  They let them develop from the bench and in their limited touches they earn more playing time.

Nevermind.  I'll just agree with you.  Position fixed.  We're loaded at running back.  If only everyone was playing to Storm's level, then we wouldn't even need a draft or free agency.

The nice thing is that we don't even have to address the offensive line.  I mean, we're starting 2 rookies, Luke who has barely played LT, and a free agent LG who has barely played on this team.  We'll wait a few years to address it.

Bishop Sankey  50 attempts 211 yards 1 TD

Tre Mason 5 attempts 40 yards 0 Td's

Carlos Hyde 45 attempts 146 yards 2 TD's

HORRIBLE.. Better cut bait, none of them are NFL Caliber..

Perfect examples.  Which one of them is the starter again?

Let's not even mention that all 3 are highly drafted and have clearly shown a flash or two.  I don't see the 49ers cutting Frank Gore or the Titans cutting Shonn Greene.  They are having to EARN their roles.

Sankey is behind Greene (which has proven to be a reliable starter)

Mason is behind Stacy (which has proved he can be a reliable starter)

Hyde is behind Gore.. (nuff said)

Storm wasn't drafted to start, dingus..

So why do you want him starting without a contingency?  Dingus.

When did I ever say that he should start, show me.. Please..

I said he should be given more chances to prove himself, more than 14 attempts before deeming him "Not NFL Caliber"..

Quote:I think we'll know a lot more about him when he's the primary feature back next year.  He does have a lot of Trent Richardson in him, but then again, I was very high on Richardson as well.

Storm is not an NFL starter.  He runs a little like Fred Taylor, except without the same size, speed, strength, or talent in general.

Oh, you mean this quote?  Where I clearly said he's not an NFL starter.

Sheesh...  Do you even read?  You just get your Storm Johnson underoos in a bunch when someone has a dissenting opinion about your man crush and then it's tunnel vision typing with you, isn't it?

No, I meant the quote where you deemed him "Not NFL Caliber".. You said it was an opinion of yours, but then again, when did you get the chance to make that opinion with only 14 attempts? Or were you just flinggin' doo like the rest of em around here?

All I'm sayin is give the man more than 14 attempts to prove himself. He's on pace with the higher picked rookie RB's in this league. Lord knows why, but he needs time to prove himself before he's considered a wash.

Show me that quote you are talking about "Not NFL Caliber".  When you originally, and might I add eloquently, introduced yourself to this subject, you directly quoted my above quote.

I made my opinion based off of watching a ton of him in college.  The preseason and regular season have done nothing to dissuade me of my opinion that he is a 7th round running back with 7th round talent.

He's not a wash.... He's a 7th round running back.... 7th...  He needs to prove that he belongs, let alone is ready to be a feature back.  He gets no benefit of the doubt.

You didn't, my bad. And I could care less how much of him in college you watched. It's what he does here that counts.

You're right, he's not a wash. Basing an opinion on him after 14 attempts is [BLEEP]. No he doesn't deserve the benefit of a doubt, but he deserves the chance to prove himself.

And he hasn't done anything yet to make anyone believe he's anything other than just another guy.

Like I said, I based my opinion on more than just 14 carries.  I don't think he's terrible or anything, but I don't think he's anymore than a career backup.

He is being given the chance to prove himself.  He started last game and will start again this week.  He's being given plenty of opportunity.  It's up to him to prove he deserves a roster spot more than someone else.
