OTOH would we have Blake Bortles if Blaine Gabbert worked out? He was supposed to be our franchise quarterback.

 

Sometimes you have to get worse before you get better and that was what happened to us. Thank God we were able to get a pick instead of just cut him loose.

Yeah but if Gabbert had become the franchise qb he was supposed to then we wouldn't have needed Bortles. As much as I love Bortles, would have been nice to have our qb a few years ago.

There is no chance he becomes a franchise qb.  He is a career back up.

If Gabbert had actually become a franchise QB, Mike Mularkey (or even Jack Del Rio) would still be the head coach, and we wouldn't have drafted Bortles.
