But we shouldn't have let him go.

Caldwell doesn't know what he's doing!!!

So I'll ask again, in week 7 has this defense really improved over last year?

Isn't he having a down year? I'm down with whoever at pass rush not sold on any one player just get me a pass rush. I had to walk away when we couldn't get pressure after the Chargers where down to the back ups backups on their line. I mean seriously you can't generate a pass rush against 2nd and 3rd string?

yeah hes been average all year due to some injury and defense playing away from him and some say hes playing it safe but his last game he was impressive, so hopefully he turns it up the rest of the season.  it was sad seeing our starters not do anything against backups lol

This was the earliest I bailed on a game, went to the sports bar to watch the game cause it's not broadcasted here (screw you orlando) after watching them go up 14-3 I found something else to do. Went with the kid brother to go shopping for a truck, he's got a baby on the way and needs a second vehicle, figured I'd help him out.

Judging by the score and stat line doesn't look like it got any better in the 2nd half.

I don't think this defense is any better.  I will believe the secondary will improve with additional experience, as Gratz, Cyprien, and Evans are rookies.  However, the LBs and DL (except for Marks on occasion) are not an improvement.

Quote:Rivers completed 22 of 26 passes for 285 yards, with a touchdown and no interceptions. Mathews carried 21 times for 110 yards and a touchdown.

Ummm no.

Its been hard to tell but does it seem like Russell Allen has disappeared this year? I used to hate him, then warmed up to him, but now I don't notice him?

Marks seems to be the only saving grace on the line anymore, but seems like every week we keep getting gutted right up the middle.

Allen played pretty  well last week - and then got hurt later in the game.  He was playing banged up today.

The D played really badly today. It was hard to watch.  They need a pass rush really, really, really badly.

Roy Miller is non existent he was steamrolled often and frequent. Geno Hayes would be a 4th or 5th LB on anyone else's team. Babin cant line up onsides. Does Andre Branch play?

All against 2nd and 3rd string Offensive linemen.

I thought last week the entire team played pretty well, that was the let down this week, seemed like we only got up for last week cause of the emotion involved in being such a massive underdog.

Until we can pressure the quarterback, we will not be better.  There has been a problem with this team for at least six years.  That problem is good quarterbacks can be ridiculously efficient against us due to our inability to pressure and they just pick us apart.  I'm referencing Brady's playoff performance against us in 2007 where he only threw like 4 incompletions.  Think over the past couple years, that has been a pattern and it repeated itself Sunday.  Defense has to play with some teeth and these Jaguars haven't got any right now.  Got to get after the quarterback, make him uncomfortable, and show some aggression in the secondary as well.  The defense hasn't gotten any better in my opinion this season.  Not as bad as the Courtney Greene, Chris Prosinski, etc defense.  But not much better than last year.

I wondered the same thing is the Defense really better or are teams under estimating the Defense trying too easy of plays and not truly preparing for the matchup that makes the Defense look slightly better?  I mean if they just come out and try to run the ball every down I think they would destroy us with the occasional pass play as the Run Defense is weak.

All I know is Cyprien = Darius, and I said that on draft day. (and was bashed for the correct opinion, of course)

You're still wrong about that though..

Im surprised at how bad Roy Miller has been. Thought he was going to significantly improve our run defense.

We overhauled the secondary last year, I would bet we focus on d-line in this draft.

I'm not surprised. The Bucs didn't even bother offering him a contract this year not to mention he's been playing with one leg since last year. We would've been better off keeping Knighton.

I don't see it. Both are physical players best suited as box Safeties, as both are liabilities in coverage.
