Bill O Brien's post-game presser keeps it REAL after a loss, compared to Gus Badly's "positive" [BAD ...

Quote:Actually bad [BAD WORD REMOVED] football coaches don't give a crap and will tell it like it is.

This is a guy who got in TOM BRADY's face.

He clearly don't fear anyone and undoubtably chewed his team out in the locker room as well.
That must have been scary as hell for him.

Quote:The players are just now finding out O'Brien commands respect and means business?   Lots of laughs

As said, this is a guy that got in Tom Brady's face before... the only laugh is on you here. O Brien talks the talk and walks the walk.

Quote:O'brien is 3-4 with JJ Watt and what should be a good defense.  He also has Arian Foster (2nd in rushing) and Andre Johnson catching passes.  If we had that, I'd guess we would be 3-4 or better as well.

I'm not even sure Bradley would be 3-4 in this his second year, with the above, let alone his rookie year, like O Brien is in.

Quote:And im sure they went home quaking and shaking too, and will return to practice Wed. Meanwhile Guy and Bradfield went HOME.

Ooooohhhhh, 2 roster bubble stiffs were sent packing.

I'm sure the guy who didn't back down from the Patriots best player on their team isn't afraid to make any necessary personnel decisions.

Yes, chewing out the 3 time superbowl winner, team MVP and team leader for poor play was impressive. Not many coaches would have the stones to do that. O Brien did.

O' Brien has also stated that he was proud of the texan's fight during a loss to the colts.

Surely he said this very angrily

I think you are wrong.  O'brien was set up to succeed.  The only thing that team really needs an above average quarterback, and they failed in that.  They traded for your boy Mallett, and ended up starting Fitzpatrick over him.

This is just....ridiculous.

Didnt back down? Brady is still there while Obrien pounds podiums in Houston because he can't rally his defense to hold a sloppy Pittsburgh offense. The same one we held to 10 points 2 weeks ago.

Yeah and? That was after a loss which put them at 2-1 (still winning record at time), correct?

Oh, so O Brien should have instead remained there as an assistant coach, rather than take a promotion to a head coach??? Laughing

Ah, so we get to put an asterisk after a "proud of" loss now. Natch.

They were supposed to start Mallett immediately w/o knowing the system?

If thats what helps you sleep at night and lets you suckle at OBrien's teat. Dude, you're getting digitally bukkaked in here and its not even funny.

You're ridiculous if you can't see the difference between having that tact at THAT point (2-1), and saying something similar after a loss that leaves the team at 0-4 or 0-5.

This is one of the funnier/more pathetic threads that have popped up in a while.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Yep, all the people disagreeing with me.....lol.....meanwhile Bradley sits at 5-18/ 1-6 worst point differential in NFL 2nd straight year...

Yup, y'all got me!!... Laughing

There will likely be a point in this his rookie year, that O Brien actually passes Bradley for career wins. Thats pretty sad.

First of all THAT point 2-1 is imaginary???? lots of more laughs.  The texans were 3-3 after the loss to the colts.  www.houstontexans.com/teams/season-schedule.html

But we know you were correct in spite of what the facts show.  O'Brien celebrated(proud of) the fight not the win. He is by your standards a good coach.  Bradley celebrates(proud of) the win and he is a bad coach.

Please set something up in my appointment book.

okay, I thought it was loss #1. we're really picking at straws here tho....

But at 3-3? compared to having that tact in a season that you are 4-12 or 1-6??

You didn't see O Brien act all passive like that once his Texans record dipped below .500.

Thats the main point.

You're arguing semantics and missing the point.
