I got to give Caldwell some credit on the MJD release

Next member of The Pride should be Tom Coughlin and maybe Jimmy Smith after that. Fred Taylor is the standard for Pride RBs. Anything less is substandard.

You wait for them to come. Never lower your standards.

What's wrong with not having any new players inducted into the pride over a period of... say 10 years?  Or even 15?  Lowering the standards of the pride just to add players to it, makes it a lot less impressive.

It'd be like if all of a sudden we allowed Mark Brunell into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame.  Then it'd become the Hall of Very Good.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

So adding MJD to the pride would make it a lot less impressive?

We're not talking about Natrone Means here....

Just imagine how truly awful those years would have been without him being our only form of offense.

Why would you think it has anything to do with the playoffs? You can't be great in a team game and not make the playoffs?

I guess Barry Sanders would never get in.
You just made a comparison to MJD not getting in to Barry sanders?

Wow your a joke

We'd probably have Andrew Luck right now >_>

On the other hand, we'd probably still have Gene Smith.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Natrone had as many playoff wins as MJD.

Edit: MJDs exit from Jacksonville makes him the 4th member of The Disgrace of the Jaguars and should forever prohibit his selection to The Pride. The other post roster behavior leaders? Beerline, Hugh Douglas, and Aaron Ross.

Likening MJD to Douglas and Ross makes me think your feelings are hurt.

I keep seeing on this tbread only 3 seasons over 1k rushing omg.

Why not look at the rest of the stats.

He was back up for freddy t for 3 years and had close to 2500 rushing yards for those 3 years plus i believe his Receiving and kickoff yards another 3000 to 4000 yards.

And then came starter 3 1,000 in a row then got hurt came back and knocked off 850 the next year. Then left. How was this not a guy we had running our offense and special teams for 8 years.

Give your heads a shake before you post stupid comments about his yardage like he was a starter here his full tenure.

The guy was a stud for us and between him and freddy t i think it was one of the best rb duo combination i have ever seen in this era of football. Absolutely montster rushing seasons we had.

This franchise hasn't had much to be proud about the last handful of years.. If I had my way, none of em would be in right now..

Quote:Well the franchise has only existed for 20 years so what do you expect? When other teams induct players into the team HOF they don't bring in someone who was a lesser player than the players already inducted. When Emmit Smith was inducted for the Cowboys his numbers were better than Tony Dorsett's. You want your new guys to be better than the guys that are already there not go backwards.

You must not know much about Rings of Honor, etc. There are plenty of players in teams' Halls of Fame (or whatever they call it) for a variety of reasons - because they meant something to that team.

There is no silly set rule that each guy has to exceed someone else's numbers.
