Because they weren't.

 

They kicked off at 1pm, just like a usual Sunday kick.

 

Most football fans watching the day's games probably didn't even realize that the Jags game was in London at the time.

I heard that the NFL is testing the 9:30a.m. kickoff and will look at the ratings and how it affects the ratings of all their pre-game shows.
