J.T. Thomas had what 4 tackles?

#41

Quote:Box score. Got it.

Well for those of us that were watching the game and not constantly staring at the scoreboard, we noticed a defense that was on the field about 15 snaps the first half, the vast majority of which the defensive line dominated.

What happens when the defensive line dominates? I'll tell you because it would seem you understand the game of football about as well as a middle school cheerleader.

When the defensive linemen dominate and make lots of tackles, there are less tackles for the rest of the defense to be involved with.

Pretty simple really.

O.K. well presented BUT there two half to All football games. Yes the DL dominated within the first half that could've limited his tackling totals...

Remember this though, it NEVER limited [BLEEP]' tackling totals...

Also tell me again how the second half panned out in the middle of our defense...

My knowledge/understanding compares to a Middle School Cheerleader coming from a moderator... SERIOUSLY? I do acknowledge that you too are human...

Thanks.

There have been a lot of unfounded rumors floating around this place recently.

I, for one, am excited about the play of our young offensive and defensive players.  No one is playing anywhere near as many rookies as we are, and there will be a huge improvement next year as the experience of playing this year pays off.

Quote:Thomas' name was barely announced during this game. The highlight of his day was the INT. He was fortunate to get it.

Three to Five tackles as the MLB???

Seriously!!!

We'll miss [BAD WORD REMOVED]...

I don't mean this as a slight to Poz and Branch but they were not missed today.  I'd say Thomas did OK.  I saw him miss a gap on a running play but the D overall played well.

Happy to say we don't need Poz around here no more after today's performance. Spend that money on something else useful. Maybe he can go back to Buffalo but I doubt it.

Agreed to all. Branch wasn't missed today but Poz has NEVER, since his arrival in Jax, been Just O.K. at the position...

Poz is better than O.K.

Poz should be cut along with Marcedes so we can sign a top-notch TE and WR next year....

Hard to say who is more overpaid - Poz or Mercedes.

NH3 you sir are dumb. Stop talking.... Poz has been awful since he got here... 7.5 m for a undersized dlinemen... He's terrible and built for the 50s

I'm so happy he's injured Im sick of seeing opposing qbs throw at whoever Poz is covering because they know he can't run

Quote:I understand some of your positions of Thomas getting better In The Future. I also understand that he is New To The MLB Position...

Compared to the previous play at the MLB position... Thomas was Pedestrian at Best. I too hope that he'll make strides at the position but I didn't see any instincts. I DIDN'T SEE HIM MAKING PLAYS BEHIND THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE.

So again "How Well Did He Play"???

You do realize that the reason he did not have alot of tackles is because the Dline was beasting it up and making all the tackles, the reason poz had alot of tackles in the begining of the year cause the dline couldnt tackle a sandwich. SMH

lol right i mean if he had like 12 tackles it means they are running all over us and the dline is not stopping anything. comical is a good word for him.

Just shows they weren't getting passed first level which was a huge liability first couple weeks besides random times on and off... Our real weakness has always been LB. We can never cover a TE and they always bite on PA...

It's been like that for years and the only thing constant with that is POZ.. He's trash. He can hardly wrap people up for how big his arms ads...

Really?

The D-Line was Beasting during the Cleveland gave that held a running game that averaged 160+ yards per game. That D-Line along w/the supporting cast held them to 50+ yards...

Remind me how many tackles that Poz had before his injury during the Beasting of the DL...

BTW, Poz has been an double digit tackler since he arrived in Jax... ALWAYS tops in that category...

He gets 10 tackles a game bc they constantly throw at him... He's awful. But keep praising. He must be your uncle lol

I was prepared for a debacle at MLB today and was pleasantly surprised by Thomas.

Thought he was slightly better than just "solid."

He singlehandedly stopped two would-be third down conversions to end drives.
