I don't believe in Slowby Blowhard (Gerhart).

He's trying too hard to make a big play. Have to think Caldwell notices and realizes he's not the guy. Right now we need a 3Rd down back. Denard may be better at that with an off season.

Yea definitely. We were fooled. I bought the hype

I knew he wouldn't be a great long-term answer but I am shocked at how low the production is. I thought it was a good pick-up after MJD left. The 2 yard struggles are old.

No pain, no gain.

I propose a decree that from this day forward Toby Gerhart shall be known as Boogerface Cootie Boy.
I know I shouldn't but....

BwaaHAHAHAHA! LOL!

Well...

Toby was healthy yesterday and he did indeed get some carries and... did virtually nothing. DRob on the other hand had another 100+ yard game. I hope that settles the debate about who is the better running back for this team. It's not that I think Toby is a bust (although he is for this team with it's current o-line...) but he needs a lot more blocking to get anywhere than DRob does.

This wasn't one of Dave's better picks but no one gets 'em all right... I think Toby should have 'some' trade value...

Half the fun of being a fan is ripping on your guys when they don't produce. Are you telling me that Brit's don't rip guys on their soccer teams when they play poorly?

Quote:I prefer Toby Airfart.

but in all reality, i think once toby is healthy and with the improved OL, toby will have a nice role in the offense again.
It was understood that Toby wouldn't be back in the lineup until he was proclaimed 100% healthy, which he was. We saw a 100% healthy Toby this past Sunday and how effective he was.... not!

Sometimes life isn't fair.

Toby started the season with an injury and back when our offensive line wasn't run blocking well.

Doesn't matter.

Denard has over 100 yards in both games that he started.  He should continue to be our main back and should only leave the field when he is physically tired.  He shouldn't leave just so the other team gets "another look" at some other RB.

There is ALWAYS a risk in signing a backup RB from another team,

Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.

So far, Toby hasn't worked out.

Play out the season and make a decision when it's over.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I don't think the team saw him as a long term answer either.

He's basically on a one year deal.

In choosing a nickname I prefer to focus on one's positive attributes.  TG has shown an uncanny ability to run for 2 yds and only 2 yds/carry. Therefore, from this day forward I dub Tobinbo Gunnar Gerhart, Twoyard Toby.

Kaishakunin for hire.

Wasn't me because I seriously had no idea who he was before they signed him.

Yes, because Toby cries himself to sleep at night because of your witty nicknames for him

Based on the previous pages of this thread, sure he means the ever declining Slowby fanboys on this forum.

I was indifferent to the signing. I'm not sure if I had ever even heard his name before. His highlight reel was impressive, his play so far? not as much. Maybe it is the injuries, we will find out.
