Uuhhh,, did u not see the Chargers control the ball at will (particularly in the first half,, so no "they were exhausted because of the anemic offense")? This defense is not "better than expected." They still suck.


Maybe in 2015 after some of these guys develop into their third year.

 

The anemic offense has them tired excuse is complete bull, I looked it up and post a thread about it, the defense is on the field just as much as last year. both years the average is about 33-34 mins. a game, so there no more tired now then last year. At the same time we're giving up more yards in the air, on the ground and more points.

 

The defense has regressed. That's a problem, I had thought the pass rush was improving but not so sure anymore.

when you average out all of last season or even the first 6 games of last year and compare them to this year we've regressed in almost every category, I believe INT's is the one area there has been an improvement.

Based on that we've also replaced a good portion of our defense with rookies, isn't that to be somewhat expected?  Give it time.. Better things will come.

As for starting rookies, that's by choice and design. We might at some point see that pay off but right now it's not.
