I'd probably first ask why this is life or death.

But, if I had to put money on a qb this year it would be teddy.

I would take Manziel. Just seems to have the whole package. Noone else impresses me. Plus we need to energize the fans. And i am starting to think the gm and gus might be over their heads. We are worse then ever and the finger is turning towards them.

Clowney and I think Bridgewater is going to be alright, too.

Everyone saw how much time Rivers had yesterday, and they were literally down to their last OL on the depth chart.

Teddy Bridgewater.  No question about it.

I have questions about Clowney's commitment to Football.  I'm not sold on Mariota.  And I wouldn't take Johnny Football in the 2nd or 3rd.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

man we suck. Good coaches can get better results. They have shown no ability to do it. Poor Khan has been fooled again. I feel for him. He doesnt know how to find the right guys. Interviews are misleading. I bet coughlin would have not pressed him if he just met him. Back in the day. Hes not able to pick gms and coaches. He must be so damn mad at this situation. He wants to win but he had alot to learn. But i bet he already sees he made another mistake. Poor guy. And KC is teaching him what he did wrong. Burns!

Hmmm this is a tough one...... I want to hop on the Teddy Wagon but I just get a bad feeling about this guy and his ability to compete against viable opponents. I'd choose between McCaron or Murray. I know that the both of them don't have the arm strength of Teddy, but they're both pretty battle tested SEC QB's and I think they'll both be solid. If we do get Teddy and he ends up being good however, he will be miles ahead of those two.

This is our team! And we deserve better. I mean we are so bad. And he's a good guy that really wants to win as much as us. I bet he very upset behind the scenes.

In this well thought out post of yours, did you consider the players and talent that Gus has to work with.  The amount of turnover we saw in a year.  The awful QB play, terrible O-line play, two best O-lineman on the team not playing due to trade and injury, two rookie safeties, rookie CB?

KC is not teaching us anything.  They had a loaded defense and pro bowl players.  We did not.  I don't mind debating things, but make a sound argument.  Look past what is just on the surface.  Frustrating fans who just look at what is on paper.

Clowney. our pass rush is so awful.

bridgewater,

we can improve our defense with two defensive tackles to rotate with marks to help stop the run and deal with the pass rush next year but this is probably our best chance to get a franchise qb

added i can see the pieces for our line coming together patzor is pass blocking well and joeckel will get there, though uche is hardly stellar i don't know if we can replace all the interior in one go so i can see us going centre and guard in the 2,3rd or fourth next year

I would think McCarron would go before the second.... even by a team who doesnt really need a QB yet but has an aged signal caller

Teddy in the 1st you can find a pass rush in the 2nd. Last year I was torn between the two but after watching Clowney shut it down this year, that's a big red flag.

This should probably be in the college forum, but I'll add my 10 cents...

I couldn't tell you who the best quarterback available will be when we pick, but I think Caldwell will take him.

That said - I would not be shocked to see him move back in the first round and select a less popular QB in order to gain picks. (Mettenberger maybe)  I also think he might trade up into the third with a few of his late round picks.  It would be interesting to see what he could do with 5 or 6 picks in the first 3 rounds in a strong draft class.

Elite passrusher with a backup QB with a low ceiling = basically where we are now.

Teddy or Clowney, can we not trade up so we have pick 1 and 2 then take them both?

Id give a fair amount to get the two of them

Manziel has the total package? You mean like a terrible attitude and small tiny frame? Have you seen RG3 get crushed because he is so slender?
