Great job by the Colts last night.        As quickly as Peyton Manning gets rid of the ball,    the Broncos are fortunate that Manning came out of that game in one piece.    Against Robert Mathis and other pass rushers at or near that level,    the loss of LT Ryan Clady earlier this season should be of major concern to the Broncos moving forward.     

 

As for the Colts,   the # 1 question to come out of last night's game is can they effectively replace Reggie Wayne?        Especially with DHB still having great difficulty catching the ball consistently,  which plagued him with the Raiders.      It wouldn't surprise me if Jim Irsay and Ryan Grigson are aggressive in the pursuit of a quality WR to go with what the Colts currently have at the position.      This has proven to be a proactive organization when it comes to major trades.

 

The loss of Reggie Wayne is crushing. He is much more important to the team than stats show. This is a blow big enough to stop a potential playoff run.

Good post. I hope this doesn't happen. The Ravens gave money to their QB. This caused Boldin to walk. How did that work out? Its really hard to build good teams when 1 person commands 15-20% of your salary cap.

I totally agree.    Reggie Wayne's intangibles are invaluable.      It was good to hear the Indianapolis fans chant,   " Reggie,  Reggie"   when they knew that Reggie Wayne's season was in serious jeopardy.

I love when GM's (Ryan Grigson, John Elway) who have franchise QB's fall into their laps are commended on "doing a great job".

 

Good win for the Colts. Manning wasn't the same after that hit, but it further proved that giving away a first rounder for TR was an awful move that Mike Lombardi should be arrested for armed robbery on. When your RB is getting complimented for just hanging on to the ball, it all went wrong somewhere.

Thanks to those who are congratulating. Huge win last night. Awesome win and environment to be apart of last night. Unfortunately, the win is a little dampened by the injury to our leader, Reggie Wayne. He means a lot to the team, coaches, & the fans. My favorite Colt of all time, hope he bounces back well and we'll see him next year.

You have said some really silly stuff before, and even though this may not be quite dumb enough to crack the StroudCrowd1 top 10 of brainfarts, it is easily top 50.
 
If an inaccurate pass "is" the cause of a wide receivers injury, wouldn't the Jaguars need to sign an all new receiving corps every week? I don't know if a truck load of gurneys would be enough for a Jaguars/Patriots game. The league would probably just cancel the game at halftime due to a lack of 22 healthy players from inaccurate passing. I could see it now, the Patriots would loan the Jaguars a DT to play WR during the game, because that is all they have left.   Maybe the officials would ban passing the ball altogether just to finish the game.

I fear the worst regarding the Colts remaining WRs. Hilton is a deep threat. He is not a #1. Haywood-Bey can't catch. TE Fleener has been a disappointment. He drops way to many passes. His drop in the Chargers game cost the Colts the contest. 

 

There is no consistent reliable WR here. Rumor has it the Colts are looking to make another trade.

 

The Colts would have been better off losing the game but having Wayne healthy.

 

This is a crippling loss. It has the impact of costing the Colts a deep playoff run.

 

Wayne had an ACL injury in college. He will recover. He never depended on speed. This will help him return. He is a HOFamer and all time great Colt. Excellent locker room guy. Fantastic community man. I wish him well.  Still WR is now a top concern for the Colts. We have no #1 thanks to the Richardson deal.
