Time to part ways with Scobee

#21

They'll probably bring in some real competition next year but I wouldn't be so quick to release him now. That's pretty rash.

Also need to part ways with Anger. The stigma of him being mediocre AND being a 3rd rounder is a black cloud that has hung over this franchise for far too long.
Seeing Anger go wold be no big loss. Cutting Scobee will not happen this year...he is better than whats out there and it is not my money so I really don't care how much he is over paid!

Someone's parted ways with sanity.

Scobee is obviously hurt but Anger......don't see what he adds to the team that some other punter wouldn't. He is terrible at pinning teams deep.

Ehhh.  Anger is 11th in the league in punt avg.  As I've stated repeatedly, I'd have taken TY Hilton with the pick, but Anger is not a problem - despite his ridiculous draft position.

Youth, inexperience and dire need of talent at 3 or 4 other positions is the issue IMO.  Special teams just needs some tweaking on coverage and protection.

There seems to be more talk of wanting to cut Anger based on where he was drafted and him not being worth it, which of course he wasn't. He's an average punter, but shouldn't be cut just to teach him some kind of weird lesson.

A kicker has a couple of bad plays out of years of success and you want to throw him out the door? Good grief.

I don't understand all of the hating on Scobee. His only mistake yesterday was obviously unrelated to leg strength. In fact, I thought the ball went in the end zone and was surprised a flag came out. Do you really think there is one kicker in the NFL who has never shanked a kickoff?
