Has anyone seen Oregon ST. play this year.  Dude is 6-5 220 leads the Nation in passing.  I haven't seen them play just wondering if any of you guys have seen him play and what you think?

I would love to get him in the 4th or 5th round as a second qb.

He's a junior. He's a mid-round prospect with adequate arm strength so I don't think he will come out.

Good timing .... I was checking his stats out yesterday.   Apparently a less polished Roethlisberger but has developed nicely over the offseason.

Dude has put up a ton of yards -- 8,700+ -- over three seasons and his percentage hasn't dropped below 64% in any of them. He's already got almost 3,000 yards this season and he still has a few games to go. He's going to be really intruiging to watch these next few weeks.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I bet he does. He is having a career season and will likely want to come out at his highest stock potential.

FOX SPORTS 1 Tonight 7PM ET.

Oregon State v. Oregon

Many Jaguars fans are hearing about Teddy Bridgewater and Marcus Mariota, however, Sean Mannion of Oregon State is the top college quarterback in the nation this year, and a top candidate as the best player in college football. This is a good chance to take a close scouting look at his skills head to head against Mariota.

Note that Mannion is a red-shirt sophomore (Jr.) and may declare he is coming out in the draft.

If so, he will likely be the top QB taken. He is a pure drop-back passer and has perhaps the best deep ball seen at the collegiate level in years.

Haha, thanks for the laugh. I was feeling some post Thanksgiving blues but this joke got me feeling better.

Thankfully, most of us know what "parody" is.

Mannion was most impressive despite the loss to Oregon. The mesh guy quarterback fad is about over and the trend in the NFL will get back to reality. We need a drop-back passer to go with a new pro-style offensive coordinator.

Head to head, Mannion blows Bridgewater out of the water.

Mariota is not going to make it as a pro quarterback. Running quarterbacks just don't work.

Bridgewater is simplified, over-rated and will struggle as a pro. Mannion is the NFL drop-back passer teams crave, but nitwit quasi-Jaguars fans will force him onto the field too soon to prove themselves as nitwits.

Therefore, we can probably do without any QB. In fact, if we take any quarterback in the draft it will be somebody like Tulsa QB Cody Green. Green has the size and arm to make it as a pro passer. He has not done well this season, but his talent is there. As hard to imagine as this seems, remember Tony Romo was never drafted.

Fulfill the lust for a QB by drafting Cody Green. We should keep Gabbert as the starter. He's got three years in the pros under his belt. We can use our picks much wiser along the offensive and defensive line. Anything is better than once again ignoring the worst offensive line in the NFL and dubiously drafting a QB in the first round just to throw him to the wolves.

Best player available regardless of position.

Jungle cat smoking again.

Mannion was average at best purely looking at the box score and well below average if watching the actual game.

Hey, weren't you guys tainting everybody against drafting Dion Jordan, Jarvis Jones, etc.?

OK. Sure. Thanks. Fine.
