Talked to JB yesterday at a Oklahoma City GameStop. Said he feels better than ever and wants to catch Blake Bortles balls. Looked pretty cut and very clear eyed. He said he's nearly completed his class and feels very positive. I'm happy for him.

What a story it would be to get him back and have his career take off right along Blake's. Quote:I'm totally calm.... But Blackmon is not a normal NFL player or even a normal member of society for that matter. If Gordon was in a casino, i bet someone would have snapped a photo. A lot of you defending him are acting like he is just some guy who wanted to go a caisno. He is a guy trying to fight for the right to play football again. Going to a casino is just not smart.Goodell couldn't care less that he is at a casino because that doesn't violate any NFL conduct or drug policy rules. Guys... It's obvious the way it's panning out that we're going to have yet another top 3-5 pick this year.
All I have to say is... Amari Cooper. Robinson, Hurns, Cooper, Blackmon/Sanders, get rid of Shorts and Lee will never see the field again. I mean, if we don't have the most stacked WR corp in the NFL by the end of 2015, then I don't even know what to say. I'll shave my entire body if that doesn't happen.

If there is a top lb worthy of a top 5 selection, maybe we go that route Quote:Goodell couldn't care less that he is at a casino because that doesn't violate any NFL conduct or drug policy rules. True. But considering that he's the guy who can ultimately approve or deny your reinstatement it might be in his best interest to be laying low while going thru rehab. No news is good news in a situation like this.

Quote:If there is a top lb worthy of a top 5 selection, maybe we go that route I'm holding hope that Telvin Smith grows out of the rookie pains he showed last week and emerges as our best LB for next year just like Denard has been doing for the RB position. Smith has it all, it's just a matter of development. You definitely don't want to spend a top 5 pick on a LB, that is for sure. This upcoming draft is painfully bad, so hopefully the GM can find some really good picks at the right time.

Blackmon is our Amari cooper of this year...
And I told all you bozos he was fine and doing great.... Hahahahaha We don't need to draft a WR.... We need to grab a LB FS RT LG CB LB No order. But we do not need WR
Quote:Blackmon is our Amari cooper of this year... The problem with you statement, is pretty obvious. Out of the positions you say we should grab first, who is realistically going to be grabbed within the first 5 picks of the 2015 draft? I can tell you right now, even though you listed LB twice, it's not going to be the majority of your positions. Yes, we do need help at most of if not all of those positions, but the first 5 picks of the draft are usually a certain position. Cooper is going to be worth this. There is no guarantee on Blackmon, and to be honest, having both Cooper and Blackmon would be a pipe dream. So if it's possible, do it. If this offense ended up stacked, as in adding a Julius Thomas in the offseason at TE, and upping WR with Cooper/Blackmon, the defense we have now would definitely be worthy as we score TD after TD.

No news is good news in a situation like this.Even if Blackmon has totally overcome any and all substance abuse problems he may have had, he still isn't making very smart decisions.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

But considering that he's the guy who can ultimately approve or deny your reinstatement it might be in his best interest to be laying low while going thru rehab. No news is good news in a situation like this. This isn't news. He got his picture taken drinking grapefruit juice in a legal entertainment establishment. Goodell makes the decision to reinstate, but he also has to defend his decision. Drinking grapefruit juice at a casino isn't a valid reason. The NFLPA would have a field day on him if he based his decision on that. Blackmon mingling with the fans and acting responsibly is actually good marketing for the NFL. I'm sure Goodell has zero problems with that. It's not his job to discriminate against players who are engaged in legal activities that comply with NFL policy. That's for idiot fans to do.
On top of that, discriminating against Blackmon because he visited a casino would offensive to the NFL fans who chose to go to casinos or like to gamble on the games, play pools, or fantasy football for money. That would be alienating a huge portion of the NFL fan base.
What's his contract situation? Was it out in a pause situation or do we lose the years and he becomes a FA after next year?
Quote:How?He's apparently declined all communication with the team. A casino probably isn't the best environment for a guy still in rehab. He's given no indication that he's even interested in returning to the NFL.

Quote:He's apparently declined all communication with the team. That's crazy talk! He's an adult! He's allowed to have a life! A casino is a perfect place for a recovering addict to hangout! U R A Hater! Off topic but FYI, the NFL isn't too fond of casinos and sports betting if you've followed what's been going on in New Jersey the past few weeks.

Quote:This isn't news. He got his picture taken drinking grapefruit juice in a legal entertainment establishment.Again laying low or out in the public in a questionable establishment? The best option would be to chill the [BLEEP] out in the privacy of your own residence. Its not that hard. At least until you've been reinstated. Something no one has harped on yet is that he hasn't even finished his rehab yet and look where he's at! Questionable judgement has lead to the reason as to why he's currently suspended. He still hasn't learned to make better decisions.
