I know its still way too early to tell but if we re done the draft I think I would still go Bortles.  I think Bortles upside is too high to pass up, he just needs to cut down on the turnovers and I think he will be the best qb out of this class. Thoughts?

#1 - Khalil Mack, Houston Texans

#2 - Sammy Watkins, St Louis Rams

#3 - Derek Carr, Jacksonville Jaguars

#4 - Kelvin Benjamin, Cleveland Browns

#5 - CJ Mosley, Oakland Raiders

#6 - Taylor Lewan, Atlanta Falcons

#7 - Zack Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

#8 - Anthony Barr, Minnesota Vikings

#9 - Odell Beckham Jr, Buffalo Bills

#10 - Greg Robinson, Detroit Lions

It's an interesting re-draft, but like you, I don't see us taking Carr over Bortles. The advantage that Carr has over Bortles right now is that he's thrown more TDs than INTs, but Bortles has been more accurate, and has thrown for nearly the same yardage on less throws. Bortles came out less polished, and I think with time he's going to develop into our franchise QB. Don't get me wrong, Carr could very well be the answer for the Raiders as well. But right now I wouldn't take Carr over Bortles because he hasn't done enough to prove that he's the better QB.

I think Carr would have been the pick if we managed to trade down or went with defense for our first round pick

But Bortles in time will show he was the right pick, he moves the offense he just makes stupid throws here and there

What's funny is NFL.com did the same thing a month ago and Bortles & Bridgewater went 1-2. So is like a weekly thing now?

Carr better than bortles? Mack #1? The clown making this list needs to be re-assigned.

Khalil Mack has played very well on a poor Oakland team.  It's no stretch to say he should have gone #1 based on all things the rookies have done so far.

i dont get this. Carr has been better than Bortles and Mack has arguably been the best rookie defender

I'm sticking with the BB pick. He needs time to develop, and his receivers need to as well. I feel they will be good. ARob, DRob, Lee, BB, and hopefully Blackmon will be a force in a year or 2.
