Thinking Bortles is better than RG3 right now is laughable. He is not. And RG3 isnt even good.

I really need to go dig up some of the "START BORTLES NOW!" threads from earlier this year. Some of the folks panning him now were saying the best chance to win was with Him, and he was being stunted by sitting. His mechanics were fine, and he had a real grasp of the offense. Suddenly they're saying we should draft another qb with our first pick in 2015? The depth of idiocy on this board is an endless resource from some.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Fans were calling for Bortles to start the year when he wasn't ready. Bortles is in too and soon and now the "fans" have turned on him just as we knew they would. All because a rookie QB isn't an all pro after 7 games.

He's also consistently regressed since he became the starter.  That's not a good sign.

I agree with you 100%  although you said that my degree from UNF isn't as valuable now as back in the day because they have given one to me. lol.

Im enjoying watching Bortles. He has his ups and downs. More downs than ups. It appears Caldwell knew exactly what he was doing by starting Henne over Bortles at the beginning of thw year, even though everyone knew Bortles was already better. Bortles makes inaccurate throws, but much of that is due to bad footwork. That was the reason why he was to sit. Bortles is also plagued by drops, and having basically a rookie offensive lineup. Things will improve. Im starting to believe that if we trade down, we grab Funches. Lewis' blocking is being missed, big time too. Funches can be that security blanket every young QB needs.

Regressed from what? Was he a Pro Bowler at some time and I missed it? Rookies don't "regress" when they haven't "progressed" to anything. What an example of a "regressing" QBs? See exhibit A: Jay Cuttler exhibit B: Matt Schab exhibit C: Mike Vick. Until Bortles has a real body of work compiled to make logical comparisons to I think saying he's "regressing" may be a little premature.

Quote:he was 60% today and he's inaccurate? I guess in your case he has to be 70% every game to be a successful according to u.
Good point....and that's while having fat linemen in your face all day.  Difficult to go through your progressions when you have no time.

Nope, it means you got what you wanted, now quit your complaining and accept the consequences.
