Quote:Then go root for another team because he's our qb so get the blank over it.

please quote where ive said that i think Bortles is a bust and i want to cut him...  you are arguing with somebody else, not me

he's getting at least 2 years to prove he's more than a BAD player (which is all he's proven so far)

there is serious cause for concern with his ridiculously horrible accuracy/decision making at times.  If you choose to ignore it and play the "rookie" card, that's your business.  I'm just not seeing much to work with in him.  It's saddening because if he isn't any good, this team is going no where for at least the next 4 years.

I would love to see Bortles work with a real OC and HC.

Quote:Fans were calling for Bortles to start the year when he wasn't ready. Bortles is in too and soon and now the "fans" have turned on him just as we knew they would. All because a rookie QB isn't an all pro after 7 games.

so you are saying that the FO caved to the fans?  that's what you are saying.  They played him before he was ready?  So you are saying you are smarter than Dave Caldwell and Gus.

He's going to be " much improved " next year.........I read that on the Internet so it must be true.

You know he's over 63% passing for the season right? That doesn't scream inaccurate to me.

Quote:I really need to go dig up some of the "START BORTLES NOW!" threads from earlier this year. Some of the folks panning him now were saying the best chance to win was with Him, and he was being stunted by sitting. His mechanics were fine, and he had a real grasp of the offense. Suddenly they're saying we should draft another qb with our first pick in 2015? The depth of idiocy on this board is an endless resource from some.

you keep bringing this up like you are the smart guy here.  You said he will play when he's ready, so you were wrong about that?  or what?

Ok, I'm not yelling at you....you just don't see the big football picture.  It seems that you feel a QB is the answer for making up for the lack of talent on a team.  How would you like to pass to receivers that are always right next to a defender, or pass downfield when your offensive line can't protect?

22/37 for 290 with a pick. Not a bad game for a rook. I know you need this guy to be bad to validate your opinions, but it's not happening.

The defense was the laughing stock of the NFL today and everyone's complaining about the QB? Now that's funny.  There were 4 missed tackles for every tackle made.  Looked like a Pop Warner game with Bryant and Murray running down the field shedding everyone in their path.

Bortles is not inaccurate, he's just inconsistent. But rookies are never inconsistent. Ever. Cut him

Nope, I'm saying that the guy is a rookie who needs time. I'm not guy saying he's proved he's a bad player after 7 games, my knees don't jerk that hard.

The 2 early fumbles ruined this game. And the defense is the one that regressed.

I think this offense is handicapping everyone on that side of the ball. Getting Lewis back should help but he'll be fragile coming off the injury. We make explosive plays and follow them up with dumb turnovers and penalties. Not scoring enough when given the chance (shooting ourselves) and then too many 3 and outs in the middle part of the game.

No pain, no gain.

Bortles was the LEAST of this team's problems today.

Oh and the cowpies are one of the dirtiest playing teams I've ever seen.

Typical over reaction right after a loss. But let's look at who started the topic, kinda tells us a lot already.

I see the whole picture and it doesn't look good.  maybe if we had an elite offensive coaching staff we could get alot out of these guys in the future, but i dont see that happening here

i honestly really really wish he didn't look as bad as he has.  the first 3 quarters the offense was lifeless except for the first drive, which is scripted.  garbage time completions are just that, garbage
