McCray getting some big time PFF love

Quote:No, I know... You're right. It just appears he would struggle more in run blocking than the more finesse pass blocking. But that's not the case.True. It does seem a little odd. Could be that in run blocking he's not asked to move backward or laterally as much which might be tougher on the ankle. Just a guess. I really have no idea. I was listening to Boselli for a few weeks and his opinion seems like it's more of a "hands" issue with Luke and pass protection as well as not having the mental game mastered (setting up blocks, mixing up his stance, etc)... He also said Joeckel has elite feet, he just now needs his hands to catch up to his feet so to speak. That's why I don't think the foot is really a good excuse at this point.

McCray was good yesterday, he got a burnt once I believe but he broke up a lot of plays on dez,
A big problem we had yet again was our line backers covering witten
Quote:No one had a good game in the secondary. He got trucked by Murray in the first series on a run play, and I think he missed a tackle or got run over on the Randle TD run as well. He played well in coverage though. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:He was good on the left but has gotten much better since on the right side. Gratz has played solid on the left but went against Dez today where Cyp should of helped multiple times over the top and was just late getting there and couldn't tackle when he was.McCray held Dez to 2 catches for 28 yards, before they moved him (Dez) to the right side and he abused Gratz. McCray was giving Dez everything he could handle without the need of double coverage. Gratz couldn't hang with Dez and that's on Gratz, not Cyp. Granted that's a tough task for Gratz, but for you to try and blame Cyp is laughable.
Bryant did pull Gratz hand down which caused him to lose balance but that's not getting called.........should've been playing off but then again, he probably would've gotten beat by Bryant regardless
Quote:McCray was good yesterday, he got a burnt once I believe but he broke up a lot of plays on dez, Interesting since Poz didn't play. So it wasn't all his fault the TE remains uncovered in our defense?
"Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot."
Quote:Interesting since Poz didn't play. So it wasn't all his fault the TE remains uncovered in our defense? I like Poz so assume this isn't directed for me, but fair point, Witten was critical for the Cowboys when they needed to move the chains, we need to get better at covering tight ends, when we tried to double team him, boom Dez Bryant steps up. He played well in coverage though.he got trucked 2 different plays by Murray but went head up and made the tackle both plays he got ran over, he was solid against the run as well
