Jaguars activated CB Aaron Colvin (knee) off the reserve/NFI list.

Colvin tore his ACL at the Senior Bowl, but has been practicing for the past few weeks. He's expected to make his NFL debut when the Jaguars come out of their bye in Week 12. Jacksonville has been decimated by injuries at corner.

I'm excited to see what he brings to the game. He'll have the Bye Week to get acclimated. This may have been the game plan all along...

Colvin please become that Shut Down corner to which we covet...

I just want to see him stay healthy through the rest of the season. I would hate to seem tear his knee back up again. I'm certainly no doctor, but the recovery times are getting so fast, and too many guys end up re-injured. I just hope this team catches a break on things like that for once.

Quote:Colvin spent the first 10 games of the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, having missed the preseason and training camp with a torn anterior cruciate ligament sustained at the Senior Bowl last January. The Jaguars selected him in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft from the University of Oklahoma.

“I’m very excited,” Colvin said. “I’m very anxious, but I know the more I get prepared the more anxious I won’t be.”

Colvin practiced the last three weeks, and the Jaguars’ last day to move him to the active roster was Tuesday. Bradley said Tuesday he expects Colvin to get snaps at nickel cornerback against Indianapolis November 23.

Please don't get your hopes too high. He's coming fresh off injury and hasn't played real football in over 10 months. I fully expect him to struggle somewhat as he regains confidence back in his repaired knee.

Quote:Why?

Carey, in his wildest dreams, was never considered a first round prospect.

Granted, Colvin is a mid round, unproven guy while Carey was a late round pick of Cleveland that Gene Smith stole from the Browns.

But Colvin at this point has to be considered the superior prospect between the two.

Because Carey was supposedly this great steal off the Browns because of injury. He was going to solve our CB issues. Then he finally played and was awful.

Now everyone here is acting in a similar manner and that Colvin is a sure fire starter and will be great, just because we haven't seen him play yet....

I know it isn't exactly the same but it gave me a horrible Carey flashback.

First QB he faces will be Andrew Luck... Pun absolutely intended when I say "good Luck, Colvin"

Hopefully this will give him a chance to run around and gain confidence in that knee again and be ready to go full blast next year.

Probably the 5'9" guy on the outside.

Well, he plays on the outside now is second in the league in interceptions. Also, Lardarius Webb is 5'9" and was one of the best CBs in the league until age and injuries caught up with him.

I'm aware. Just guessing at the answer to your question. While he's a talented corner -he's not exactly a scheme fit in Bradley's defense.

Watch. He's going to struggle a little bit in his first game and people on this board are going to rip him apart. Can't wait.

I hope Colvin at least has no issue covering Jaguar wide receivers in practice. If he does, that could be an issue. If he doesn't, that is a start.
