Yes!  Players are important.  But so is the coaching staff.  They are very very important...

Quote:No point in watching this crap anymore. Really time for draft talk and free agency.

Good - I take it that means you'll no longer be posting?

We're gonna need more oil around here.

It's not like those of us who are dissatisfied with Fish are not watching the games.  He just doesn't seem to understand how to have a cohesive game plan on how to attack a defense.

His first string of plays he has in the 1st quarter are solid.  Then, after that...  It's like he goes "deer in the headlights", and forgets what the heck he should be doing.  He get's away from his gameplan way too quickly, in my opinion.

Harbor had a really good catch for 10+ yards in the first half.  Why  not re-run that play, or add a wrinkle to it a couple more times?

It's tough to watch at times.

I love these kinds of posts. Thanks for taking some time away from game planning for your NFL team to assist Fisch. I'm sure he appreciates it. I guess he lost your cell number.

Do you not watch the defense? Do you not think they take away some of Bortles' options, so he has to rely on his (mostly rookie) wide outs. Have you not watched Bortles play?

That's ok - it will be so much better when you're on the sidelines next year.

Quote:Its all about Lee's development now.
Thats the only positive in this, Lee will get plenty of playing time now and we can get a hard look at him, and we will know if we should resign Shorts or not

The coop dee grace for this whole Bye week mess is to receive news that Justin Blackmon has been arrested for DUI again.

Think positive thoughts.

I hate to say it, but they might be forced to resign Shorts.

The only other option is to sign a veteran WR, and we all know how risky that can be.

Resign Shorts OR sign a veteran WR to a similar contract that Shorts would have gotten.

It's just not a good situation to be in concerning whether to resign Shorts or not.

I think they will probably end up resigning him.

If Blackmon comes back clean we wont be forced to resign him, and Lee could light it up to end the year and no need to bring Shorts back, with Lee, Robinson and Hurns

I doubt they do unless it's a super cheap non-guaranteed contract.  Hurns, Robinson, and Lee need playing time and resigning an injury-prone WR isn't going to help the team much.

That IF is so big it doesn't even fit on this page, probably not even in the room you are now sitting in.

What? So no playoffs now? One less win? The sky fell weeks ago.

Someone mentioned coaching. Sanchez stepped up in Philly big time yesterday. Difference? Kelly vs Rex?

Next man up. Opportunity. Experiment. Try outs. The season is in the porta potty ( not good enough for a toilet) so while it sucks for him and more development, I'm not worrying about a possible extra win. Better to lose out and trade out of the #2 pick and stack up.

read that article. I didn't need it. but maybe it can clarify things for you. He's the GM. He signs, trades, drafts players.....correct? in turn....bringing in talent to the team....or LACK of it...right? Maybe I'm lost. If I'm wrong....enlighten me. I'm welcome to it.
He lives in a world where Gus is the head coach of the jags and Dave is the GM.

You probably shouldn't call out the coach for not doing the GM's job.
