Charlie Strong headed to the NFL? Bridgewater a package deal?

Quote:The NFL’s recently formed advisory panel, which helps to identify potential minority coaching candidates, already is advocating the candidacy of Louisville’s Charlie Strong and Stanford’sDavid Shaw, league sources told ESPN. http://fansided.com/2013/10/20/charlie-strong-teddy-bridgewater-joining-nfl-next-year/

I would rather just keep Bradley if Strong is the only other option. Strong coached horribly in the UCF game and IMO also has run a stupid offense for most of the year often overusing his running game even against good run defenses despite having the best QB in the nation.
Louisville didn't lose the UCF game because of Strong's coaching or play callings. They had a three TDs lead, and the momentum shift immediately after their offense (or was it special team) turned the ball over. Football is a momentum game, after all, and the moment a team gained momentum over their opponents, their chances of winning increases both their offense and defense play better. It happens every week in the NFL.
I'm not trying to advocate Strong, but I think he's one of those coaches who instill discipline to his team. Realistically, Caldwell won't fire Bradley and hire Strong if he becomes available. This is Bradley's "intern" season. But I don't be upset or dissapointed if Strong hypothetically becomes the head coach of this team with TB under center.
It's a bogus assumption made by some people.
And it would be entirely up to who drafted him.

Would Gus Bradley hire Charlie Strong for the DC job if no team needing a head coach wants him? I would like that.
The timing of this report is totally ironic. Why would it be suggested less than a week after what was probably the biggest upset? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I wouldn't mind strong as the DC. But he wont be the HC in Jax next season.

Charlie isn't going anywhere...
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

I'd rather Charlie come back to Florida. That's just wishful thinking though.

Yeah I'd take him as a DC here or I'd like to see him take over as HC for the Gators.

Quote:Yeah I'd take him as a DC here or I'd like to see him take over as HC for the Gators. As DC here, yeah, that might work. He can't be any worse than Babich thats for sure. Babich has been terrible at DC even with the Bears and that team actually had talent, too.
Oh man, if Strong came back to UF... that'd be awesome. I can't stand Muschamp. He still has fans left who think he can right the ship, but I think that beast is sinking more and more each week with no chance of being fixed.

After the recruiting funnel they got set up in Florida, especially the Miami area, I don't know why Strong would leave Louisville for another college gig. Especially now that he will be in the ACC
