Quote:You mean the one where he said "The vast majority adopt. Is this a bad thing?" that prompted you to ask for a link showing that the majority of adopted children are being raised by gay and lesbian spouses? That's exactly what I meant.

Quote:That's exactly what I meant. But that's not what you asked...
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:And I asked him for a link. Just need you to provide me with a few quick links on is water wet, do trees produce oxygen, and what happens when you put combustible objects in fire.

Quote:That was exactly the point of me asking...I needed numbers, data, etc. So you totally just flat out refuse to admit that you asked him to give you information for a claim he never made? You never once asked him to link you the info on the percentages of gay couples that adopt, you asked him to show you the info proving that most adopted children are being raised by gay parents. I know you realize those are two completely different questions... Just admit you asked him for the wrong info. It's not a character flaw to admit when you are wrong.

Quote:So you totally just flat out refuse to admit that you asked him to give you information for a claim he never made? I asked him to show info proving most adopted children are being raised by gay and lesiban parents, which would have included data. For some reason, TWO other people in this thread understood my request hence them posting the links. Again, he got so caught up in emotion, by replying with responses laced with labeling my views as "backwoods", that he got sidetracked. He then suggested I look for the information, so he knew what I was requesting. Again, he let his emotions get in the way.

Quote:I asked him to show info proving most adopted children are being raised by gay and lesiban parents, which would have included data. But what he was saying was that most gay and lesbian parents got their children through adoption. He wasn't saying that most adopted children are being raised by gay and lesbian parents. Do you understand the difference in those two sentences? This back and forth is getting comical. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:But what he was saying was that most gay and lesbian parents got their children through adoption. He wasn't saying that most adopted children are being raised by gay and lesbian parents. Do you understand the difference in those two sentences? What is the purpose to adopt children? To raise them right? I agree, this back and fourth is getting comical.

Quote:What is the purpose to adopt children? To raise them right? And you're providing the comedy.

Quote:I asked him to show info proving most adopted children are being raised by gay and lesiban parents, which would have included data. Wow you still don't get it. I guess you are a little slow. He never said that most adopted children are raised by gay parents. He said that most gay couples (to get children) adopt.

Quote:What is the purpose to adopt children? To raise them right? So if you do understand the difference between these two sentences: 1) Most gay and lesbian parents got their children through adoption. 2) Most adopted children are being raised by gay and lesbian parents. Then your correct response at this point is, "Oh, sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying. Never mind." Just post that sentence, "Oh, sorry, I misunderstood what you were saying. Never mind." And we can move forward with our discussion. Okay?
Quote:Wow you still don't get it. I guess you are a little slow. Nope. I understand his point.

Quote:So if you do understand the difference between these two sentences: I understood what he was saying. I asked for facts to back up his claim.

Quote:I understood what he was saying. I asked for facts to back up his claim. I am puzzled as to why you would ask for facts to back that up. Do you think gays and lesbians are having children biologically more than they are adopting? That's kind of counter-intuitive, isn't it? We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:I am puzzled as to why you would ask for facts to back that up. Do you think gays and lesbians are having children biologically more than they are adopting? That's kind of counter-intuitive, isn't it? What? Again he stated the majority of gay couples adopt. I asked for a link. Gays and Lesbians cant have children biologically, hence the only way for them to raise children is through adoption which again I was asking the data for. How many GLBT Couples adopt children vs straight couples.

Quote:What? It didn't take me more than one minute to find some facts. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&...5997,d.eXY It's an interesting read. It appears from this study that gays and lesbians are having children biologically more than they are adopting. "Among all children under age 18 being raised by same-sex couples, approximately one in ten (10%) are adopted..."
Quote:It didn't take me more than one minute to find some facts. Thank you for the link. It is an interesting read. That was my whole point he could have provided the same information you just provided. In having a debate, noone should get offended when the other person asks to provide a link to back up their claim.
