We're afraid of letting Blake throw. They've got him avoiding taking chances. By forcing ourselves into 100% short game, we're ironically making it much worse. Defenses squat on everything short, and Blake isn't really even getting much benefit.

Worst of all, we've been trying this all year, and it's so obvious it doesn't work, but they just keep doing it anyway.

True but BB is missing reads and throws too...it's a bad situation.

Quote:There's a reason why this same coaching staff y'all hooted and hollered needed to start Bortles instead of letting him learn from the sideline knows a bit more about football than the average fan.
what good would it be him sitting on the sidelines? Its better for him to learn now then next year

It's not all on coaching. It's a combination. Hopefully this cluster[ bad word removed] of an organization aren't ruining another QB.

Would Henne or Gabbert played better. Probably not. But I don't see them playing worse.

A bye to re group and settle down. What happens. One idiot gets arrested and the high powered offense gets 3 points.

And yes..It's looking worse than last year. Progress?

That's a straw man. The captain of the Titanic knew a lot more about sailing than I ever will.

Maybe Gus was the Capt. of the Titanic in his previous life.

I see similarities.

All of BB's throws are 5 yards or shorter thus why more than half of his picks come from DB's finishing routes for our WRs

The only reason im still watching this team is to watch Bortles improve. The dude regresses every week. He looked Gabbert-bad today.

I don't blame the kid for being drafted by a team with goobers like Gus Bradley and Jedd Fish as his coaching staff.

Here's hoping this Rookie class is better next season.

It doesn't matter who we draft at QB - if you have a coaching staff that doesn't know what the heck they are doing, the QB isn't going to be successful.

Success starts at the top.

Gabbert.

If Blake Bortles has a Christian Ponderesque kind of 2nd season.................then the JAGS might want to look for another franchise QB.
