Quote:Oh how quickly we forget. http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2012/11/9/3...guars-news

That is an article that was wrote in 2012. It is now 2014. After 2 drafts by GM Dave Caldwell, the Jaguars have gone 4-12, and are now 1-10 and are in real contention for the #1 pick in the draft. This franchise is building from the ground, literally, the ground, up.

If you'd kindly take a look at the link I provided, you can see Gene Smith had a .153 batting average. Gene Smith was so bad at drafting players, he hit on 4/26 players in his time as General Manager. No game changers. He was no better in Free Agency, either.

F/A Signings:

2009 - Holt, Tra, Thomas, Considine.

2010 - Kampman, Osgood, Keiaho.

2011 - Poz, Roth, Landre, Session, Coleman, Turk.

2012 - Robinson, Ross.

I don't know about you, but that makes me puke. This is going to take time, and this is the reason. I don't know if Bradley is the guy or not. None of us do. But nobody can be the guy until David Caldwell starts funneling the talent into the roster. Nobody would win with this roster.

I know Poz was a hit, and Holt was okay for what was asked from him... same thing with Considine but the rest of the FAs were like Gene's drafting...

Gene Smith left Caldwell and Bradley with 4 servicable players out of 4 years of drafting.

Now that's not even an opinion. Cya later.

Whoever hired 52, TJ whomever, gets no points, an immediate pink slip, and may God have mercy on his soul. I watched him watch a guy on the other side of the field catch a pass, yet he turned and continued to cover his man. I guess he expected 2 passes on the same play. I am serious, it happened.

That someone who hired him was Caldwell, so there is a problem hiring players who have zero football intellect or awareness play NFL football. We have a staff and coaches who do not belong in the major league. Hopefully the Jaguar's year long performance of historically bad blowouts will convince Mr.Khan that changes have to be made on the staff.

He's a roster bubble UDFA that will most likely be a backup next year that was forced into the line-up due to injuries.

I don't care what you do but your little try and act cool thing is played out.

I'm not going to try and argue with you any longer. If you truly believe the things you've posted in this thread, there's no point.

Tyson Alualu has only 9 tackles this season which Telvin Smith got 9 solo tackles just last week.

He was one of the most over hyped draft players by Gene Smith, and isnt bad at stoping the run but never was worth that high of a draft pick as the whole organization swore he was...

The very least of our problems. Isn't that something? We try for ten years to pressure the qb, watching DE and tackles come and go, now we have a solid D line and our offense can only put up 3 points.

Many of you clearly don't have a clue how life works. How building something from the ground up works... Some franchies are blessed and we haven't been... Everything is changing

I got to laugh at all the apologist who always try to fling the blame somewhere else.  Sure gene smith sucked but he has been gone for 2 seasons now.

After 2 years of drafting and free agency this team is worse off before it started.  Sure Caldwell picked up a few decent players but missed on many more.  His 2013 draft is looking downright pathetic while is 2014 draft is not much better.

Excuse makers will always find something else to blame but when we are last in offense and close to last in defense after 2 years it's inexcuseable.  Across the board this front office is doing a piss poor job.
