Name one Rookie QB worse than Bortles?

Quote:There's a reason why this same coaching staff y'all hooted and hollered needed to start Bortles instead of letting him learn from the sideline knows a bit more about football than the average fan.If he was a project and needed to sit the whole year then he should not have been the pick at three. A team as void of talent as this team needed to take a player that is ready to go right now and perform at a high level. We passed up on too much talent in this draft for a damn project. Super happy we passed up one of the best defensive players in the NFL for one of the worst QBs in the NFL... again...
Quote:Looked just like Gabbert. I thought the same thing He looked nothing like Goobert. At no point did he curl into the fetal position in the middle of a clean pocket. He also threw for over 100 yds, which is something Goobert failed to do every other week. The constant barrage of short passes were discouraging, but I'm more inclined to believe it had more to do with a conservative game plan, wideouts unable to beat press man coverage, and pass rushers coming free every other play.
Make the Jags Great Again
Blake Bortles......YOU'RE FIRED! Dave Caldwell.....YOU'RE FIRED!
We had 2 weeks to prepare for the Colts. The last time Blake played them, he threw the ball very well and he came in at halftime with zero time to prepare.
Now he gets 2 weeks to prepare with the coaches and what happens??? Quote:There's a reason why this same coaching staff y'all hooted and hollered needed to start Bortles instead of letting him learn from the sideline knows a bit more about football than the average fan. Obviously not cause they're playing the kid. Unless you're saying the fans changed their minds? Then I'm really concerned...... We show less advertisements to registered users. I agree Frailbones. Based on his previous play you can only assume that the coaches aren't giving him the support he needs and as a result he is regressing.
We know he can game because we've already seen it. Coaches are really dropping the ball on this one.
Quote:We're afraid of letting Blake throw. They've got him avoiding taking chances. By forcing ourselves into 100% short game, we're ironically making it much worse. Defenses squat on everything short, and Blake isn't really even getting much benefit. This. We have the most predicictable play calling ever. You're not having success with run, short pass, if completed run and if incomplete screen. Just let him play and see what he can do. Might as well keep him on the bench if you're not letting him learn by doing.
According to the stats, that QB would be Johnny Manziel with a 39.6 QB Rating. Bortles is 70 qb rating. If you base it on yards than Bortles is 2nd only to Carr in rookies this year, same thing with Tds (8 to Carr's 14). Blake Bortles is 2nd in pct with 62.6 (Jimmy first with 90%). Of course Bortles is 1st in INTs. I do agree, with much dismay, that Blake is regressing...
I am not sure if that has to do with all his WRs being injured or suspended, or having a poor oline or barely having a RB to rely on all i know is he is doing the same dink and dunk passes that used to piss us off with Henne... and that has to be Fisch... Heck as long as it gets a 1st down Im not that upset with the dink and dunks but you should throw it deep once in awhile to keep the safetys honest & to give your rookie QB experince in just that.. thats what we as fans were hoping to see is the deep ball.... What you worried about INTS or losing the game, thats going to happen anyways so throw it deep.. AGGGGGH
Bridgewater would be a BEAST for us, he just sucks in cold weather.. so he will most likely bust in minny

Our offense looks like a Fisch out of water :whistling:
I just hope BB is not ruined already. He is still young and left early from college. There is still hope. By the way Bridgewater would have been no better. This coaching staff stinks.
Love all the Bortles blame. Where were the open receivers?Indy started blitzing non stop and nobody had a clue what to do...
Young team at every position on offence, if anything it's the coaching
