Monroe trade is quietly looking better.....shhhh......

Quote:Let it go? Why its a major issue and has been for some time. Thats the problem - too many of you and I guess in the Jags upper front office continue to just gloss over this point and "let it go". The Jags lack of player development with rookies is also largely about the lack of quality assistant coaches. You do realize that you have zero credibility, don't you? The ability to type makes you as much of an expert as the next guy in the bar.

Quote:Anyway, those two picks are indeed looking to be better than we previously expected - and kudos to you for recognizing it despite it detracting from your prior Caldwell bash-fest. This thread is funny. It's as if he is arguing with himself.
So now Monroe is the difference between us winning 3 or more games? Bunch of hypocrites.

Quote:impressive bump The 5th round pick was part of the deal to move up and get Allen Robinson, but it was a minor part of the deal. Some other very good WRs (and maybe even Robinson) would have been available had Caldwell not traded up. The other pick was used on Colvin. Neither pick in the trade up to get Linder was from the Ravens. Monroe is better than Joeckel. He looked really good for the Ravens tonight, and they also use a zone-blocking scheme. And Caldwell could have used the Joeckel pick on a different player. Trading down to the middle of the 1st and getting Reid, Jarvis Jones, or one of the DTs plus extra picks was a possibility. It was a weak draft and Joeckel wasn't the worst 1st rounder, but Caldwell could have done better by trading down. Don't claim that it's impossible to trade down, Miami jumped up to the very next pick trading picks 12 & 42. In 2013: Keep Monroe. Sign Andre Smith as a free agent. Trade down to the middle of round 1. End up with two solid OTs and a building block on defense. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" Quote:Jarvis Jones? He is awful. So is Reid.

Monroe and Smith wouldn't have helped us win games. Knighton isn't even playing well anymore and his reps have decreased.
If this wasn't blown up be would have gotten the same reaction from you dips. Quote:I think Bridgewater at 3 is better value than Mack at 3, yes. <div> LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Marks is one of the top DT's in football right now. Quote:Monroe and Smith wouldn't have helped us win games. Knighton isn't even playing well anymore and his reps have decreased. Monroe and Smith wouldn't of helped us win why? Because you say so? Seems legit. I bet Knighton is getting more reps than your knight in shining armor Alualu is. Please stop acting like you know more about football than ANYBODY on this board. Seriously, you made me shoot diet coke out of my nose from laughing so hard.
I was not a huge fan of picking offensive tackle when we already had Monroe on the roster. And the team has holes at almost every other position.
I think the main reason is they didn't feel like Monroe was worth the money he would be paid, which he probably isn't. Just like what the Chiefs did in picking Fisher and letting Albert walk. I am sure if you asked Caldwell to be honest, he would tell you that Joeckel has been a huge disappointment. You could say he is the weakest link on the offensive line right now. And this with two rookies and a street free agent starting along side of him. Maybe Joeckel is able to turn around in his third year. But we have little reason to believe that will be the case. Trading Monroe was the correct choice. Quote:Knighton and Alualu play different roles in the line.
