Did Pettine really get outcoached or did they just have a really bad game?

 

Pettine is 7-4 in the best division in football. Browns were a coaching carousel until they found Mike and he looks like a good one. 

 

Some people are simply saying to stick with Bradley because changing coaches now would take more time for our young guys. I hate this mentality, If Harbaugh becomes available or Coughlin... We need to go after these guys. Especially with Harbaugh. Blake would immediately do a 180.

 

He's had some huge clock management gaffes.

I don't recall Del Rio's teams being embarrassed like this. There were plenty of times where Del Rio's teams beat really good teams, even on the road. He thrived as the underdog.

Ok, so let's be positive...


We have too many young players, so we are being outclassed on offense. We have a rookie qb that requires our offense to run heavy and on passing plays throw behind the sticks.


Because of these shortfalls we need to expect to be this bad. Next year, when our rookies are more experienced we will win 7 or 9 games, because players just get better over time irregardless of coaching. Coaches do not matter as much as time, time heals and fixes everything.


This is wishful thinking.


It is what some fans, rottenallltheseyears, hang their hopes on. But it's a pipe dream flawed by the reality of what we see on the field, and what statistically we see on paper.


News flash... You can be a fan of the jaguars and still see we are moving in the wrong direction

Time for someone to bring up Bill Walsh.

 

Bill Walsh won 8 games in his first two seasons. Gus will have to win 3 of the last 5 to match that.

Well Gus has stepped in and improved the Defense, unfortunately that is all that has happened.  I just don't know anymore.  Good for a defensive coordinator not so much for a Head Coach.  It is like Del Rio 2.0 

 

I like how we accept as gospel that the defense is improved.  Last I've checked we've allowed the most points in the league and are ranked 30th in yards allowed.  Just saying.

Hard not to think Khan is quietly testing the coaching waters as we speak. As a business owner, he HAS to be.

I doubt very much that he (Khan) would let anyone know about it if he is... but I would also almost have to expect that he would be looking around. It's a production based industry, and that goes for coaches too...

So smart. Oh, I know! You should be head coach/gm. Maybe they'd let you import your roster from Madden.


Because if the only argument against Bradley is the record, you don't have an argument against Bradley.


It's a team game and the team has not been constructed. The ::team:: will be ready next year.


If the ::team:: is still failing next year, then it becomes Bradley's fault.


So, please, explain why he is such a bad coach. The players are developing. They are still playing hard despite the record. I don't know what else you expect. You can't make a salad with only croutons; they just don't have all the pieces yet. Don't have anyone decent playing linebacker. Don't have a free safety. Don't have a quarterback who is ready. Don't have a TE anyone is going to gameplan for. Don't have a #1 receiver or even a veteran receiver. I could go on.


Suffice to say, there is no quick fix. Swapping out the coach is not going to change the roster this year.

Please explain Denard Robinson. He couldn't do anything but fumble last year. Now he is everyone's favorite jag. A real 5th round gem.
